Lonza is currently hiring for an Implementation Specialist III. The MODA Implementation Specialist is responsible for supporting the MODA Implementation director in all aspects of the service delivery team. This includes reporting metrics on a monthly/quarterly basis, consultant & partner management, project administration, sales support for service quotations and serving as an escalation path to support the broader implementation team. Additional activities may include product demonstrations, training, configuration, technical support and working with clients to understand related processes. Additionally, developing training material, project plans, and product documentation are within scope.

Position is fully remote, can be based anywhere in the US (East Coast preferred)

Key responsibilities:

  • Support customer software deployments in a GMP regulated environment by serving key functions such as project coordination, installation/technical support, documentation/validation support and subject matter expertise.

  • Manage administrative duties related to onboarding, supporting and closing out projects including presales scoping and sales-to-service transition activities.

  • Support internal projects, attend meetings, create/modify content for training and deployment.

  • Perform non-billable administrative duties required by job role/function including time tracking, internal training, metrics reporting, etc.…

Key requirements:

  • MSc or BSc in relevant area with 15 years' experience implementing software systems and performing tasks in a regulated or pharmaceutical production environments (or software engineering experience).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent client consulting skills.

  • Ability to work on multiple tasks/project simultaneously.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Ability to perform technical demonstrations and support sales activities as needed

  • The candidate should have a core background in either MES Systems, Automation, or IT Systems, with complementary skills in the other.

  • (Complementary) Core Computer IT Skills and Advanced knowledge of one or more of the following:

  • SQL Server

  • Oracle

  • Windows Server

  • Crystal Reports

  • Windows 10/11 (power user or admin)

  • Networking

  • Software/Testing Lifecycle

  • Microsoft Team Foundation Server

  • Javascript or Typescript

MES IT Systems Skillsets:

  • Team member or lead on at least >3 MES/EBR system implementations

  • Experienced in connecting to shop-floor equipment via OPC to read/write data to PLCs, SCADA, data historian.

  • MES/EBR project management, validation and business analyst roles performed at a high level across multiple projects/organizations

  • Batch record analysis and translation to electronic system workflows

  • Front line support for post go live activities/hypercare

  • Documentation drafting, routing, review for system guides and training material

  • SDLC process management

  • Previous experience (end user, support, implementation, configuration) in one or more common MES or other manufacturing enabling software packages

  • Strong fundamental understanding or experience with MES-ERP integration

  • (Complementary) Core scientific knowledge or equivalent life sciences

The full-time base annual salary for this remote position is expected to range between $135,500 and $157,500. Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including the location of the successful candidate, qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and job-related knowledge. Full-time employees receive a comprehensive benefits package including performance-related bonus (15%), medical and dental coverage, 401k plan, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, an employee assistance program, paid time off (PTO), and more.
