Job Description

Functions/Duties: Coordinate and lead a highly capable team of engineers, and engineering technicians to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards. Responsible for designing, development, implementing and sustaining manufacturing processes and equipment to support the operations strategy of the business including continual improvement related to process, equipment, cost, production and overall quality of the products. Supervise validation and finalization of new equipment, processes, and technologies. As applicable for your specific module/section.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for monitoring the SiC processes, initiates and drives constant optimization of SiC and implements new process and equipment developments. Ensure successful and continuous operation of the established production processes and tools regarding throughput, product quality and cost optimization

  • Specifying and selecting tools and materials according to the product roadmap in close cooperation with Production, PDE, and R&D.

  • Discovering, analyzing and eliminating any problems that may arise in terms of production, quality, within the Backend module

  • Planning/Scheduling staffing levels for X-FAB Texas process engineering and equipment group

  • Planning/Scheduling capacity for XFAB Texas process and equipment engineering group

  • Managing process engineering group to maintain focus on X-FAB goals

  • Managing equipment engineering groups to maintain focus on X-FAB goals

  • Defining and tracking engineering projects to meet X-FAB goals

  • Ensuring chemicals and gases are capable for an uninterrupted supply to the fab

Current Skills/Competencies:

  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and facilitation skills

  • Good verbal & written communication skills

  • Teamwork focused self-starter with reliable follow up methods and solid follow-through

  • Good problem solving and decision-making skills

  • Proficient in MS-Office such as Excel preferred

  • Knowledge of laser anneal and wafer grinding systems preferred

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree or higher in related field of study. Experience may be used as equivalent education.
