Position Objective:

RT delivers full-service capabilities to its clients by connecting talented IT professionals with organizations where they can produce results. The Immigration Specialist is a high-specialized role that requires a knowledge of and expertise in immigration law compliance, as well as the recruitment and assessment of IT professionals for placement in specialized, niche and often hard-to-fill client-facing positions. This Immigration Specialist requires an understanding of immigration law and compliance with a concurrent knowledge of the IT profession and related client requirements. The Immigration Specialist will exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance that are directly related to the management and operation of the business, including:

Position Summary:

  • Engaging with professional IT candidates as a single point of contact for immigration matters.

  • Assisting RT recruiters and other field professionals with immigration related queries in a professional and ethical manner.

  • Ensuring compliance with established procedures, labor agreements, and applicable laws, including federal immigration laws.

  • Proactively monitoring and evaluating applicant candidate pool and recalibrate sourcing strategy, as well as immigration compliance, as needed.

  • Assessing candidate qualifications from both an IT and immigration perspective, including candidate's eligibility for new or transferred visas/work authorizations and prior compliance with immigration laws.

  • Screening candidates for full understanding of availability, interest levels, visa status, salary range, relocation needs, and basic qualifications.

  • Evaluating employment factors such as job experience, education, skills, training, fit with organization, and future potential.

  • Making independent determinations and recommendations as to which candidates qualify for placement with clients based on IT qualifications and immigration compliance considerations.

  • Maintaining efficient and effective communications that support the recruiting activity.

  • Establishing and maintaining a network of contacts with recruiters from your region's branch offices.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to learn and adapt to changing immigration laws, regulations, and business priorities.

  • Strong candidate screening and interviewing skills - such as behavioral based interviewing techniques.

  • Ability to quickly and thoroughly assess a high volume of resumes and candidates.

  • Ability to rapidly gain knowledge of HR policies and procedures, operations, compensation, and benefits.

  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.

  • Superior customer service and responsiveness.

  • Exceptional team work and collaboration skills with a positive, can-do attitude, and have a recruiter mindset.

  • High level of proficiency with Bullhorn, Microsoft Office Suite, and Outlook.

  • Ability to travel to regional branch offices and corporate - if and when required.


  • Bachelor's Degree required

Work Experience

  • 2 - 4 years of related experience

VIEW JOBS 9/19/2018 12:00:00 AM 2018-12-18T00:00 General Description: Senior Level lost time claim adjuster for workers compensation Responsibilities: * Advanced Knowledge of claims function and processes. * Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers. * Expert understanding of workers compensation or disability claims management, strategies, resolution techniques and adjusting. * Technical/administrative capability to adjust lost time, utilizing the features of the TPA claim management systems. * Participates in claim advocacy and negotiations, including claim denials, reserving files, and claim reporting, issuing payments, attending hearings, conciliations or mediations and filing of state forms. * Determine compensability of the claim as it relates to the worker compensation jurisdiction. * Review and approval of loss time, medical services and expenses to be paid of the claims file. * Plan and attend claim reviews with clients, carriers and auditors. * Negotiate and recommend claim file settlements to the client. * Ability to identify client issues, build a plan towards resolution, execute and manage internal and external expectations effectively. * Analyzes claims based on the TPA best practices as outlined in the "Policy and Procedures" manual. * Skill set to implement new business with "Special Account Instructions". * Understand the financial impact of losses. * Ability to communicate with internal resources to explain results and help develop improvement for risk management plans. * Ability to develop high quality output documents for internal resources, clients and carriers * Understand client business issues. * Attend sales presentations. * Act as a team leader with the non lost time claim adjuster and the medical case manager. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 - 15 years of lost time claims administration experience. * College degree preferred but high school diploma or graduate equivalent degree required. * Expert in MS Office suite of products, especially MS Excel. * Superior written and oral communication skills. * Ability to lead a team and work well in a team environment. * Must have expert analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. * Superior organizational skills required. * Expert negotiation skills required.
