Summary:

Provide specialized immigration advising and cross-cultural assistance to international students; provide advice and assistance to international students in relation to varied immigration status; develop and deliver orientation and other workshops for students and other university departments (as well as assisting with international scholars on an as needed basis).

Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:

Minimum of two years' direct involvement with international students and/or scholars, with emphasis on immigration law and cross-cultural counseling. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills & Abilities:

Thorough working knowledge of immigration law (current and upcoming) for non-immigrant international students and scholars.

Experience with and knowledge of current computer software programs (Microsoft Office products, Student and Exchange Visitor Information System, and database management) is essential.

Demonstrated ability to handle and prioritize diverse tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to interact with people of all constituent groups.

Ability to work independently and in groups.

Preferred:

Fluency in at least one language other than English, international travel and employment, web page design, and Adobe document creation.

This position requires Child Abuse Certifications prior to the commencement of service.

This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
