Role Overview:

IMI Grad

• Engineering

As an IMI Graduate you can be part of delivering the breakthrough engineering of the future. You'll spend two years rotating through roles in one of our divisions, working on live projects, seeing the product lifecycle from end-to-end and gaining experience of working in another country. By the end, you'll have all the skills and exposure you need to kickstart your engineering career. While in the Graduate Program, you will rotate through our placements with opportunities in design engineering, R&D, project management, business development, and more. Design Engineers prepare suitable, cost-effective severe service control valve designs by performing the essential duties listed below.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the design of severe service control valves to customer specifications and internal design standards.

• Responsible for the selection of appropriate hardware for particular applications

• Prepare and check detailed drawings and bills of materials and releases valve design packages to manufacturing/assembly.

• Responsible for reviewing customer designing specifications and assuring compliance.

• Maintain valve project document files.

• Prepare or revise valve drawings as required.

• Compile and write buyout specifications.

• Provide technical support and clarifications to customers, vendors, manufacturing, assembly and test personnel.

• Write test procedures to meet customer contract requirements.

• Work to internal deadlines for Engineering deliverables

Critical Competencies for Success

• Working knowledge of MS Office and CAD software (ACAD, Solidworks preferred)

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

• Knowledge of mechanical design and stress analysis.

• Manufacturing drawing comprehension

• Basic knowledge of properties of gas and liquids - thermodynamics.

• Basic knowledge in principles of flow and fluid statics and dynamics.

Salary Range:

$75,000.00-80,000.00 per year.
