IMGL Operator will report to the site Technical Manager and will have process oversight for the IMGL and Vacuum Form department. This department includes IMGL, Vacuum Forming, Lamination, glue coating, punch, edge fold, and an air bag laser weakening process. They will be responsible to set site processing strategy, root cause troubleshooting, scrap reduction, OEE improvement, leadership, and mentoring/development of department process technicians.

BACKGROUND PROFILE: IMGL Operator
Background preferred in one or all of these areas: Vac Form, IMGL, Lamination, Edge Folding
Experience with Frimo or Keifel equipment is preferred
Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification is a PLUS
A minimum of five years of experience in Vacuum Forming / IMGL is required.
Experience with glue coating processes and laser air bag weakening is desired but not required.
Exceptional understand of mold change requirements. Experience performing mold changes and the use of SMED methods.

The company's technologies are helping automotive companies produce stronger, lighter vehicles. Summary The Operator role is responsible for the safety, quality and productivity of the machine. This position is also responsible for timely processing of customer orders and flow of material, contributing to process efficiency. The Operator must also provide timely, safe and efficient operation of machines. Will be responsible for correctly tagging the finished material and moving it to the next designation and stages as required. Responsibilities * Maintain minimum line standards for production. * Tend automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation. * Follow production/process specifications or instruction of technical personnel. * Monitor meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications. * Perform simple tests to verify production/process conditions. * Report any malfunctions or abnormalities and make minor adjustments and repairs to equipment. * Complete all related paperwork accurately and in a timely manner. * Be able to configure the correct data set on the panel view. * Understand and implement proper changeover procedures. * Demonstrate knowledge with robot control safely. * Ability to follow written directions for proper changeover procedures. * Ability to perform skid setup and positioning, loader/unloader and stacking properly. * Ability to check and fill oils, grease and nitrogen correctly and safely. * Perform other duties as required.
