What You Will Do

As an Associate with Wheaton Franciscan-WI, you will have the opportunity to perform a variety of radiographic procedures used in the diagnostic treatment of illness and injuries. Mayalso perform specialized imaging services.

Responsibilities:

  • Positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately.

  • Implements radiation protection and safety standards.

  • Prepares, performs and assists the physician in special/advanced procedures.

  • Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.

What You Will Need

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

  • Required Credential(s):

  • Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Advanced certification for Mammography or CT preferred; Advanced certification for MRI within 24 months of hire preferred. ARRT breast ultrasound certification preferred.

  • Licensed Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the state of Wisconsin obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

  • Diploma

  • High School diploma required Graduation from a JRCERT approved School of Radiologic Technology preferred

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of three (3) years Imaging experience required.

What You Will Do As an Associate with Columbia St. Mary's-WI, you will have the opportunity to perform a variety of radiographic procedures used in the diagnostic treatment of illness and injuries. Responsibilities: * Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately. * Implement radiation protection and safety standards. * Prepare, perform and assist the physician in special and advanced procedures. * Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations. * Help position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately. * Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards. * Ensure prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history). * Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department. What You Will Need Licenses/Certifications/Registration: * Required Credential(s): * BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 2 Months (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date. * One or more of the following: * Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. * Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. General Radiography is also required in addition to any specialty. State Radiology Technologist licensure issued by Wisconsin Radiography Examining Board required. * Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
