Primary Responsibilities

Ensures Quality, including Protocol Compliance and Technical Adequacy, of Image Data by:

  • Reviewing and analyzing image data for clarity and quality

  • Verifying image data is in compliance with project protocol requirements

  • Generating image queries when needed

  • Working with therapeutic team to notify Sponsor/Site for proper resolution of quality issues

  • Assisting in archiving data for completed projects

Performs other image analysis functions as may be required by:

  • Performing client or internal demonstrations of image processing

  • Reviewing and preparing images for submission to client and/or agency

Identifies and communicates Project Requirements as they relate to the image quality review (IQR) processes by

  • Reviewing evaluations of potential clinical research sites and verifying the accuracy of information pertaining to site personnel, medical imaging equipment, imaging protocol and data archival capabilities

  • Providing support for technical imaging related issues

  • Performing study initiation/technical visits to educate site personnel on image acquisition protocol, data archival, and data transmittal procedures including form(s) completion

  • Assisting in the design and implementation of study related forms

  • Assisting in writing and reviewing imaging guidelines/manuals

  • Assisting in reviewing Site Surveys

Maintains Quality Service and Departmental Standards by

  • Reading, understanding and adhering to organizational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

  • Assisting in establishing and enforcing departmental standards

  • Participating in user acceptance testing for new tools and software enhancements

  • Participating in the modification of company SOPs related to IQR

Secondary Responsibilities

Contributes to team effort by

  • Exploring new opportunities to add value to organization and departmental processes

  • Helping others to achieve results

  • Participating in the recruiting and interviewing process for new employees

  • Training new employees

  • Performing other duties as assigned

Prepares Data for processing by

  • Performing image data translation and digitization

Maintains Technical Knowledge by

  • Maintaining current board certification (if applicable) and obtaining related continuing education credits (CEUs)
  • Attending and participating in applicable company-sponsored training

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Current Board Certification in respective modality required

  • Modality related training required

  • Associates/Bachelor's degree preferred

Experience:

  • 2+ years as Imaging Technologist in a imaging center or relevant clinical trial experience preferred

  • Experience with 1+ imaging modalities preferred

  • Experience working with computer software including Word, Excel and Access preferred

  • Experience working with clinical trials and/or within pharmaceutical environment preferred

Additional skill set:

  • Ability to work virtually, in group setting and independently; ability to adjust to changing priorities

  • Excellent attention and orientation toward meticulous work

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Goal oriented

  • Ability to project and maintain a professional and positive attitude

Working conditions:

Travel: 0-15%

Lifting: 0-25lbs

Other: Computer work for long periods of time

What You Will Do As an Associate with Saint Thomas Health Svcs-TN, you will have the opportunity to perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures providing quality images to radiologists and physicians for interpretation. Responsibilities: * Maintains and operates cameras that detect and map radioactive drugs in a patient's body to create diagnostic images. * Positions patients and selects anatomic and technical factors accurately. * Orders, prepares, administers, and disposes of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols. * Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines. * Ensures prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history). * Ensures equipment is properly functioning. Reports potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel. Lock/tag out equipment if appropriate. * Assists in maintaining a clean, and orderly department. What You Will Need Licenses/Certifications/Registration: * Required Credential(s): * BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. For current incumbents as of 4/30/18, BLS required upon expiration of Heart Saver. * One or more of the following: * Certified Nuclear Medical Tech obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. * Radiologic Technologist specializing in Nuclear Medicine credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
