Coordinates the activities and flow of work for an assigned area or function.
Prioritizes Multiple tasks and projects to ensure timely completion. Delegates and assigns work commensurate with knowledge, skill and experience, and ensures the work is performed appropriately.
Determines, coordinates, and supervises daily staffing assignments and staffing levels. Trains, coaches, and evaluates assigned staff on performance expectations.
Coordinates patient care with other members of the healthcare team to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.
Responsible for supervision of staff to include performance evaluations, hiring, coaching and counseling.
Performs staff responsibilities as needed to fulfill required service levels. Leads the handling and resolution of complex issues and complaints.
Assists with the preparation of operational and capital budget under the guidance of imaging leadership. Reviews and approves payroll for their direct reports. Orders supplies and maintains appropriate inventory level in accordance with established budget.
Serves as a resource to staff regarding departmental/area policies, procedures and services.
Picture Archive and Communication System (PACS) management when required.
Competencies and skills:
ARRT - American Registry of Radiology Tech
Certified Radiologic Technologist
Education equivalent experience:
Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Required Work Experience: Three (3) years of experience in Imaging Services.
