Imaging Revenue Compliance & Coding Specialist-Hybrid

Shift: Monday-Friday, Daylight hours. This position is hybrid and will be a mix of working from home and working in office, which is located in Butler, Pennsylvania, at Butler Hospital.

Job Summary/Overall Objectives

Ensures timely and accurate procedure charge capture, coding, and revenue compliance for Interventional Radiology and Interventional Cardiology.

Essential Job Functions

• Maintain procedure charge and HIS/RIS order entry with up-to-date CPT and ICD-10 codes.

• Reconcile procedure charges with procedures performed/supplies used to maximize revenue and ensure compliance.

• Keeps current with medical billing/coding regulation and educates staff as needed.

• Evaluates and corrects charge rejections/denials.

• Other duties as assigned.

Competency and Experience (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

Required Qualifications/Experience

• Graduate of a Radiologic Technology or Registered Nurse program, or High School Diploma or equivalent with Certified Coding Specialist Certification, or an associate degree in health information technology.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

• Bachelor's degree in radiologic technology, Nursing, Health Information Technology, or a related field.

License, Certification & Clearances

• Act 34-PA Criminal Record Check from the PA State Police system.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

• Incumbents will be scheduled based on operational need (rotate shifts, standby, on-call, etc.).

• Travel may be expected locally between System locations.
