Responsibilities

This role is primarily responsible for performing the document preparation and scanning tasks. These tasks are performed within all DMS Imaging Centers. This role is vital in initiating the imaging process and obtaining our conversion objectives.

  • Sorting and/or preparing hard copy records for scanning document preparation

  • Scan hardcopy files to electronic images. Assuring a quality image

  • Follow production procedures and completing internal documentation & tracking

  • Adhere to Imaging Center guidelines of maintaining clean work environment

  • Other duties, as specified by Supervisor/Manager

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with PC and other computer related products.

  • Proficiency in reading, writing & communicating in English.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively with coworkers and management.

  • The ability to remove staples, sort, file and box records.

  • Must be able to maintain record order and sequence.

  • Must be able to understand the importance of detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to work at a sustained pace to meet production rates while producing quality work.

  • Must be acceptable of change and long durations of project assignments.

  • Demonstrate understanding for the importance and value of customers.

  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Minimum business expertise required.

  • This role is responsible specifically for their job assignments and the success of those assignments.

  • This role requires very minimum external contact and will communicate predominantly with Imaging Center personnel. This communication will consist of providing personal production updates and job specific questions/clarification.

  • Total travel: 1%

  • Education / Experience: High School / Less than 2 years

We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Construction Specialist based in Carlsbad, New Mexico. The Construction Specialist will work as a member of the Facilities and Construction team comprised of peer Construction Specialists and Facility Engineers (Project managers) that collaboratively plan, design, coordinate and execute Engineering, Procurement & Construction projects to meet field development program online dates and budgets. This role will execute construction activities start thru commissioning on upstream surface production facilities supporting production fluids (oil, water, gas) from wellhead thru sales. The candidate will also manage contract crews, material procurement and inspections within and outside the company to provide working facilities on time and on-budget in accordance with Corporate HES and industry best practices, policies and procedures. Additional Roles and Responsibilities: * Directs and manages assigned Roustabout, Pipeline and General Construction contract crews to efficiently execute construction activities of assigned facilities projects * Provide input to develop Facility and construction team standards and practices * Understand production equipment, materials and design that best support project * Manages major project schedule, resources and enforces product or service quality and compliance to design specifications and operating procedures * Tracks costs with onsite procured items and/or services required for project activities and reports timely and accurately to designated leadership * Provide HES leadership and enforces policy compliance * Identify obstacles that may impact project execution and support mitigating processes Education: * High school or equivalent education is required Professional/Technical Knowledge: * Knowledgeable in Oil and Gas Construction Industry Standards and best practices * Familiar with basic Project Management Principles and techniques Professional / Technical Qualifications/Licences/Certifications: * Understanding of industry welding requirements and procedures as well as non-destruction evaluation (NDE) methodologies; Certified Welding Inspector (preferred) * Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite (MS Project, MS Word, MS Excel and Outlook) and general IT use * Ability to travel as required (a valid driver's license and excellent driving record are required) Experience: * Candidates should have at least 5 -10 years of construction experience * Direct experience with maintenance, operation and/or construction for Upstream oil and gas production pipeline facilities * Experience in rotating equipment (Pumps, Compressors, VRUs): Materials, Design, Installation, Estimation and Operation * Experience with surface production equipment (Vessels, Tanks, Headers): Materials, Design, Installation, Estimation and Operation * Familiar with Midstream gas plant operation and maintenance * Familiar with civil construction activities and associated permits Skills & Competencies: * Demonstrated construction management skills including material & labor planning, cost & schedule estimating, contracting, cost & progress tracking and management, documentation, post appraisal and process improvement * Knowledge of Pipeline: Materials, Pressure drop calculations, Design, Installation, Estimation * High proficiency using construction drawings, survey drawings, and installation specifications; able to interpret and create as required * Basic understanding of automation and electrical design principles * Demonstrated high level of effectiveness working in a collaborative teamwork environment * Fundamental understanding of MOCs, HAZOPs and PSSRs * Extensive expertise in HES/OSHA safe work systems. * Expertise of construction specifications, codes and practices. * Awareness training for Welding procedures, inspections and NDE * Ability to develop/review Lifting plans for critical lifts * Familiar knowledge of material handling/staging principles and techniques * Ability to evaluate manpower loading plans * Ability to manage construction contractors effectively and efficiently * Possesses sound communication skills and basic decision making ability in support of team/project goals Oxy is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Individual with Disability/Veteran Status Oxy Carlsbad NM
