Under the direction of a registered radiologic technologist and/or manager, performs diagnostic x-ray procedures requiring direct supervision.


Essential Functions and

Responsibilities:
  • Identifies each patient and reviews each patient's requisition, for consistency of examination ordered with clinical diagnosis and physician's order.

  • Prepares patient for examination and explains procedure to the patient while performing studies.

  • Records pertinent data on radiologic requisition at all times. (tech initials, explanation for limited exam, patient complaint, etc).

  • Upon completion of exam, reviews each exam for technical accuracy. Identifies anatomical orientation on all required images, and ensures proper film identification on all images. Consults with staff technologist when needed.

  • Uses appropriate devices to obtain permanent record of examination.

  • Assesses patient condition, ensures patient safety through proper use of restraint/support devices.

  • Recognizes electronic equipment limitations.

  • Maintains departmental paperwork.

  • Performs other related duties as required and directed.

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • One year of formal education or training beyond high school diploma or GED.

  • Must have completed one year of two year accredited radiology training program; has not yet graduated.

  • BLS certification.

You will complete a variety of pharmacy tasks and services, including being responsible for the daily operations of the pharmacy within the established policies and guidelines. You will work under the direction of a licensed pharmacist, and you are able to work independently. You will not provide direct care to patients. * Picking up drug orders at the nursing station(s) and preparing medications under the supervision of the pharmacist on shift. * Delivering the appropriate quantities of the medication to the correct patient area(s). * Assisting with accurate billing and crediting of patient medications. * Maintaining drugs in the pharmacy according to the Drug Formulary and, per policy, including ordering, receiving, storing and filling out all necessary paperwork. * Monitoring doses administered according to Medication Administration Record on the narcotics sign-out record. * Maintaining all forms and reports necessary for the control of narcotics and other controlled substances. Qualifications How you will be successful in this environment: You are attentive to detail and organized, focused on being a customer-service oriented team member. You should have a strong knowledge of medical terminology, as you will be reading and updating patient charts. You will also know how to create compound medications, IV fluids, nutritional mixtures, etc. * Current enrollment in Pharmacist educaton program. * Hospital experience is preferred. * Having an upbeat, compassionate and customer-service oriented attitude.
