Knowledge, Skills, Education, & Experience:
Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program. Preferably, from an educational institution approved by the ARRT, JCERT, or the ACR.
Current registration and licensure by the Arizona Medical Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners and American Registry of Radiological Technologists(R).
The original MRTBE certificate with current date must be displayed in the department of the employees primary work facility. If KRMC is not employee's primary place of employment the original must be viewed by Radiology management and a copy will be displayed.
Current CPR certification required Minimum of 2 years' experience in an imaging modality.

Position will customarily and regularly direct the work of at least two or more full time employees and will have the authority to hire or fire employees, consult and recommend hiring, firing, advancement, promotion or any other employee's change of status.
Provides leadership and support to Imaging staff, coordinates the allocation of resources and imaging staff, supports a positive work environment. Participates in orientation of new staff. Provides input regarding employee evaluations, promotions, discipline and discharge on a regular basis.
Addresses work flow issues as appropriate to ensure patient through put.
Serves as a clinical resource to staff. Assisting staff with clinical tasks Continually works to ensure that all patients move smoothly through the imaging and hospital system.
Observes patient, technologists and equipment during procedures, documents patient reactions or problems on requisition and reports immediately to Director of Imaging Services (Dir-6158) Reviews all diagnostic data for completeness and accuracy. Determines whether the actual outcome is within the established criteria and provides technical assistance if images fail to meet criteria.
Demonstrates new techniques, equipment and procedures to staff.
Implements and monitor radiation safety measures to ensure safety of patients and staff and to comply with regulatory agency requirements.
Coordinates staffing for all shifts, making shift assignments taking into consideration patient acuity and staff expertise
Demonstrates the ability to support staff with problem solving and decision making. Works to meet patient, physician and staff satisfaction goals by setting the example, using scripting and contributing to teamwork in the department Coordinates purchase of supplies and equipment and makes recommendation regarding capital and operational budgets.
