Job Title: IIS Middleware AdministratorResponsibilities of the IIS Middleware AdministratorEDC Consulting LLC (EDC) is seeking candidates for a ISS Middleware Administrator for the U.S. Army in Radford, VA or Ft. Belvoir, VA.As an IIS Middleware Administrator, you will be responsible for the comprehensive management of middleware infrastructure. This role involves the architecture, installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of Application and Web Servers, Portals, and associated middleware technologies in Windows environments. Your primary goal will be to ensure these systems meet operational standards for availability and performance, while adhering to stringent security requirements.The IIS Middleware Administrator will:

- Architect, install, and configure middleware infrastructure to support organizational needs.
- Maintain system infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance standards.
- Support UAT and production environments by assisting in project releases, middleware configuration, installation, and troubleshooting.
- Automate administrative tasks to enhance system efficiency and reduce manual overhead.
- Maintain compliance with ALTESS and Army security standards through regular reviews and updates.
- Develop and maintain system monitoring and administrative dashboards for proactive system management.
- Document system configurations, routine procedures, and troubleshooting steps to aid in knowledge transfer and operational continuity.
- Handle ServiceNow tasks for middleware services including installation, configuration, patching, and troubleshooting.
- Periodically review Army Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to ensure system compliance.
- Engage in continuous learning through review of current industry practices and literature.
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical field or related discipline.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience with IIS administration and management in a large enterprise environment.
- Proficiency in Windows Server OS administration.
- Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or CHEF, and scripting with PowerShell.
- Strong understanding of application network architectures, firewall configurations, and port management.
- Familiarity with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and its applications.
- CompTIA Security+ Certified
- Active Security Clearance
