    You will ensure that the ODOT meets its obligations under IFTA to provide services, including responding to questions, providing information, analyzing files, processing applications, assigning credentials, collecting annual administrative fees for Oregon, collecting and disbursing fuel tax fees for other jurisdictions, and maintaining records.We invite members of all diverse communities to join our workforce as we endeavor to best serve Oregonians from every background.

Duties & Responsibilities Offer assistance by phone, in person, and in written correspondence to motor carriers, their agents, or representatives, member jurisdictions, and the IFTA Repository on matters pertaining to ODOT and IFTA.
    Interview and inform carriers and other parties who are unfamiliar with Oregon requirements regarding IFTA licensing.
    Research, analyze, define, and explain laws, rules, regulations, and policies of ODOT, IFTA Repository, and requirements of other member jurisdictions.
    Resolve complex problems faced by motor carriers who are attempting to comply with the requirements of various jurisdictions or agencies.
    Works independently and with authority in area ofexpertise.
    Interview and advise carriers and other parties of delinquent returns, audits, outstanding balances, credits, fees, penalties, and requirements of ODOT authority.
    Use discretion and judgment to explain status of accounts, instruct carriers of filing requirements, develop and suggest acceptable resolutions to various account problems, adjust revocation dates, waive penalties, reinstate carriers, grant extensions and negotiate payment agreements.
    Issue IFTA licenses and decals to carrier requests made in-person, via phone, and through the mail.
    Receive, review, authorize, and process requests from carriers for records amendment, such as, but not limited to, address, power of attorney, filing frequency (annual or quarterly), fleet number increase, cancelations, modify tax file numbers.
    Post corrections, amendments and adjustments to carrier accounts.
    Verify payments are processed, transfer funds between weight-mile tax and IFTA ledgers, and reverse transmittal money from member IFTA jurisdictions.
    Maintains strict security and confidentiality of cardholder information, account numbers, vehicle records, motor carrier records, all types of personal information, including social security numbers, driver's license information, etc.
    Authorize refunds and take appropriate action on unclaimed credits.Compute, charge, explain, and collect taxes, fees, interest, and penalties.
    Revoke carrier's IFTA license when analysis proves the carrier is not in compliance.
    Interpret and apply the IFTA regulations, state and federal laws, and rulesto issue IFTA licenses.
    Conduct analysis using knowledge of business organization (ownership), vehicle types, variety of licensing, lease rules, exempt and nonexempt operations, report and payment methods, tax tables, and allowable vehicle operations.
    Determine if operations are within the appropriate boundaries.
    Working Conditions:Communication with persons of diverse points of view (who are often irate) to resolve problems, simultaneous telephone conversations, staff exchanges of information in proximity, and constant interruptions.May require bending and lifting up to 20 pounds as needed for filing and archiving of documents.Heavy use of phone related equipment, office environment using a computer constantly and assisting the public.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    Two years of public contact/customer service experience which involved: Dealing with the public in-person or by phone providing information about services/programs or explaining/applying laws, rules, regulations/procedures; ANDExperience or training using computers to retrieve and input data.NOTE: As a part of its duties, this position may be required to handle money, credit cards and confidential information.There will be a typing test following the interview.Desired Attributes/Application Scoring Criteria: In addition to your related work experience and education, we will use the attributes below to determine whom to interview.

The Patient Registration Representative will be responsible for accurate and timely patient registration utilizing medical systems. This person will assign ICD-10 and CPT codes relative to patient registration. The Patient Registration Representative will utilize facility medical necessity tool to verify appropriate diagnosis and coverage criteria. This work will need to be performed according to established policies and procedures. The associate will provide exceptional customer service to physicians, patients, family members and all other medical professionals. In addition to the day to day responsibilities, this person will actively participate in quality improvement and innovative change processes as well as departmental meetings and educational offerings. The successful candidate must have demonstrated experience handling patients with efficiency and accuracy to broad customer base. Your day to day role may include: * Perform registration and basic insurance verification, ensuring collection of 7 critical data elements necessary for proper patient identification and billing. * Identify and update patient demographic information on ADT system as defined by departmental policy and procedures. * Interpret physician orders for appropriate testing or admission criteria. * Coordinate patient admission needs and beds assignment to facilitate timely patient placement. * Identify non-participating Insurances or Out of Networks plans; takes necessary steps to inform patients and physicians regarding options, including but not limited to canceling appointment. * Obtain Insurance Card copies or validate insurance information via electronic medical record, transfer information, or insurance eligibility tool. * Provide courteous and accurate patient and hospital information with way finding instructions for patients, families, visitors, and ancillary areas. * Prepare documents for imaging/scanning into electronic patient record. * Explains processes and forms to patients prior to securing signatures and ensures that all documents are properly signed and witnessed as required. * Assemble and disassemble patient charts or departmental documents according to department policy. * Copying and or faxing documents to ancillary areas or physician offices. * Maintain inventory control of forms and paper supplies needed in area. * Assist with all possible account resolutions pertaining to patient balances. * Perform all other duties and projects as assigned.
