The Department of the Army has designated the Mission Training Complex (MTC) as the vehicle for providing collective training for Army leaders, Soldiers and staffs on the art and science of Mission Command. This training supports small units (squads through companies) and medium-sized units (battalions and brigades) in training environments ranging from Stability and Support Operations (SSO) through Full Spectrum Operations (FSO). In order to function effectively in the Army's Unified Land Operations operating environment, units and leaders must receive the best training available to enable them to successfully carry out mission-type orders. The Mission Training Complex at Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) allows a fuller, immersed view of the battlefield and gives commanders at all levels better situational awareness.
Capstone endeavors to support the JBSA MTC with an IEWTPT Trainer Lead that will engage with collective Mission Command training, Leader Training and Development, Games for Training (GFT), and constructive simulations-supported training, as well as facilities management and access control. The MTC provides training for units and institutions in the greater San Antonio area, including the US Army Medical Department (AMEDD) Center of Excellence (School and Center), the Army Medical Command (MEDCOM, medical units, both Active and Reserve), Army Component, Northern Command (ARNORTH), Army Command, Southern Command (ARSOUTH), 24th Air Force Cyber Mission Elements, Defense Health Affairs, and the Mission Installation Contracting Command (MICC), San Antonio.
This position is located at the Mission Training Complex, Joint Base San Antonio, TX.
The position will be filled upon contract award.
Serve as the IEWTPT Trainer Lead.
Establish system parameters and formats for IEWTPT.
Ensure hardware/software compatibility; and coordinates and/or modifies user requirements in terms of existing and projected computer capacity and capabilities.
Maintain supplied software packages for internal users.
Deliver IEW/TPT training as required.
Plan, coordinate, and executes unit collective training at echelons ranging from Squad to Corps.
Assist unit leadership in planning collective training that will meet their training objectives; identify any gaps (resource, training, equipment, etc.) and work with unit leadership to ensure gaps are resolved prior to execution of training.
Serve in a mentor-ship or observer/controller role when requested.
Gather observations based on unit actions during the training event and provide input to unit After Action Reviews (AARs).
Maintain a comprehensive repository of relevant TTPs.
Become certified and serve as the Operational Environment/Opposing Force Lead and Opposing Force Subject Matter Expert for the MTC.
Minimum education and experience:
Bachelor's Degree. Four (4) years of additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Ten (10) years experience in the military Intelligence field.
Minimum of Five (5) years of experience with military training and training support in either the maneuver, intelligence or fire fields.
Have successfully served as a brigade S2 or as an Intelligence Analyst in the grade of CWO3/4 or equivalent positions (MI MAJ, SFC, CW2, or higher) within the DoD Intelligence Community.
Have experience in operations/training at brigade or higher level, and five (5) years of experience in training management.
Must be certified as the Operational Environment/Opposing Force Lead through the TRADOC G2 OE-TSC within 30 days of hire.
