Summary

Operating Title IEHSS Sr Program Coordinator and Grant Manager Long Classification Title Project Director III Campus Location Durham Department UNH CHHS Institute for Excellence in Health & Social Systems Summary of Position

Under the broad supervision of the Executive Director IEHSS, with a focus on continuous improvement and exceptional customer service, execute and coordinate delivery of complex improvement/research programs as assigned. Responsibilities include providing day-to-day administrative and operational oversight, oversee execution of program calendar and deliverables, provide technical/professional guidance, manage and facilitate complex verbal and written communications, and collaborate with all members including leaders, team members, and team coaches throughout the programs. Actively share lessons learned, information gained with the improvement and research programs and IEHSS.

Responsible for researching, preparing, submitting, and managing contract and grant proposals/reports that support the institute's goals and meet funder guidelines and criteria, engages in compliance reporting, and supports special project initiatives.

  • Master's Degree and three years relevant work experience

  • 3+ years of experience nonprofit administration, grant writing or grant management

  • Strong administrative skills and self-motivated with the ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks under minimal supervision in effective and efficient manner.

  • Experience and skill successfully managing complex bodies of work to successful processes and financial outcomes.

  • Ability to establish, support and contribute to a vibrant team learning community for the IEHSS team, students, faculty, and national and international colleagues.

  • Able to collaborate and provide exceptional customer service while maintaining confidentiality in handling sensitive documents and communications.

  • Ability to prioritize, organize and be highly flexible in a fast paced changing work environment.

Duty/Responsibility

  • Be responsible for implementation, coordination and delivery of assigned improvement/research programs in accordance with program-designed contracted agreement.

  • Work with IEHSS and Sponsored Program Administration (SPA) to administer grant resources according to Sponsor and USNH regulations, including preparation of required reports and summaries. Act as liaison between program sponsor, UNH Sponsored Program Administration, and IEHSS team to ensure timely compliance with all grant-related requirements.

  • Research new funding opportunities on local, state, and federal level.

Duty/Responsibility

  • Draft proposals, grant application narratives, and budgets and collaborate to finalize with program staff and the Executive Director.

  • Grant proposal development preparing and organizing materials for proposals and submitting and monitoring grant applications.

Duty/Responsibility

  • Organize and facilitate programs, web sessions, and workshops as required.

  • Coordinate the use of required facilities for program delivery.

  • Provide technical advice, problem-solving coaching, and in-depth answers to program inquiries.

  • Ability to develop/update electronic platforms such as Canvas.

  • Ability to utilize electronic learning platforms such as Zoom.

  • Maintain grant compliance and reporting.

  • Prepare final reports and make presentations as necessary.

  • Interested in ongoing professional development and growth. Attend professional meetings, conferences, and professional development courses.

  • Perform related duties as assigned.
