  • Perform maintenance on all types on control, measurement, laboratory, and instrumentation equipment.

  • May perform programming and troubleshooting operations on Omni flow computers and terminal data acquisition equipment.

  • Perform repair and maintenance activities on various types of meters, samplers, valves, transmitters, electric and pneumatic valve actuators, piping, and associated pipeline and terminal equipment.

  • Troubleshoot and program automated facility control equipment, calibrate required safety devices, and manipulate facility valves and piping to receive the desired operating status.

  • Responsible for completing work in compliance with Company procedures and government regulations (DOT, Coast Guard, EPA, etc.).

  • Technician is also responsible for assisting other technicians with maintenance and repair duties

Essential duties and responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duties satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

  • Have an understanding of national electrical codes

  • Arc flash training

  • Able to read equipment manuals, specification sheets, P&ID's, and loop sheets

  • Ability to identify the root cause of problems and effectively initiate immediate corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel and experience with SAP desired

  • Strong planning and organizational skills as well as a strong work ethic, good judgment and decision-making skills

Required Education:

  • High school diploma or GED

Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:

  • Level C requires a minimum of 0 - 2 years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience

  • Level B requires a minimum of 2 4 years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience

  • Level a requires a minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience

Working Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

  • Lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally

  • Driving, walking, standing frequently

  • Exposure to adverse weather, cramped conditions and some heavy lifting

  • Visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment

  • Occasional overnight travel may be required

  • Maintenance experience in petroleum or chemical storage facilities, refineries or chemical manufacturing plants with specific proficiencies in maintenance and repair of instrument systems including DCS/PLC/SCADA, gas detection, process analyzers, control valves, pressure/flow measurement, and vibration equipment.

Responsibilities To insure the integrity and reliability of all measurement recording and control systems in compliance with company best practices & procedures, applicable DOT regulations, and applicable AGA / API standards. * Test, calibrate, operate, maintain, and inspect electronic flow meters as well as all associated measurement equipment, control valves, and relief valves on designated pipeline system or truck terminal. * Resolve issues pertaining to measurement and system balance. * Communicate at a technical level and interface with customers, measurement, operations, including engineering groups. * Monitor, document, and address lost and unaccounted for gas volumes within assigned areas * Install, configure, troubleshoot, maintain, and calibrate electronic flow computers, gas chromatographs, moisture/H2 analyzers, control valves, actuated valves in designated pipeline system along with other associated measurement and control equipment * Install, maintain, and troubleshoot field communications backbone as well as communication end devices including spread spectrum, air link, licensed, and Internet Protocol equipment * Schedule and witness calibration of assigned 3rd party meter stations * Collect monthly and quarterly gas samples * Install, maintain and calibrate pressure, temperature and other transmitters used for measurement * Maintain accurate measurements of gas in and out of an assigned pipeline district area * Complete all applicable and required documentation for all aspects of gas measurement, reporting, and position * Recognize malfunctions on individual equipment and perform maintenance as necessary to correct problems * Responsible for proper operation and maintenance of pipeline facilities in accordance with Company procedures/policies and DOT regulations * Assist in cost control of pipeline operations and maintenance in assigned area of the district * Must complete applicable reporting and documentation of key operating parameters * Witness testing and calibration of 3rd party meters * Maintain, modify and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) to maximize use of control technology as well as minimize installation and operating costs. * Install, configure, troubleshoot, operate, maintain, inspect, test, and calibrate electronic flow meters, associated measurement equipment, control and relief valves * Update electrical drawings * Will operate in an "on call" rotation Qualifications * High School Diploma or GED required * 3 years of comprehensive measurement (crude and condensate) experience and/or 3 years process automation/I&E and/or data communications/electronics experience * Knowledgeable of concepts in natural gas gathering, pipeline operations, gas processing, and compressor station facilities * Able to read P&ID and electrical diagrams as well as other complex electrical drawings; interprets plant electrical diagrams * Knowledgeable in operating and maintaining liquid pipeline and station facilities. * Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) * Basic knowledge level of computer networking and Internet Protocol * Must have basic computer skills to use Company e-mail, Company issued software/hardware, and complete electronic reports * Must be proficient in the use, and troubleshooting of PCs and PC software * Must have people skills and task prioritizing skills * Valid Driver's License * Must speak fluent English * Must pass pre-employment drug screening and is subject to random DOT drug testing * Must be capable of physical duties in outdoor environment * Must be capable of performing duties independently with minimal supervision and working in a close-knit team setting EOE No sponsorships No agencies Enlink Midstream Partners Garden City TX
