We are currently looking for a:

Idlewild- Food and Beverage Lead

Roles & Responsibilities:

Roles & Responsibilities

Supervision and Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor and inspire your team, fostering a positive and high-energy work environment

  • Encourage team members through positive affirmation

  • Assist with the supervision and facilitation of Food & Beverage (F&B) operations for assigned food outlet

  • Ensure workstations are accurately stocked prior to park opening

  • Manage inventory levels, ordering and stock rotation to minimize waste and maximize freshness

  • Prepare proper quantities of food according to department standards and guest needs

  • Follow recipes and procedures to prepare food

  • Maintain service and hygenic practices, including PPE

  • Cook utilizing ovens, fryers, broilers, griddles, mixers and knives

  • Monitor team members within their designated locations, ensuring the proper execution of F&B standards for food preparation and guest satisfaction

  • Provide on-the-spot training, coaching, leadership, and instruction to F&B team members

  • Communicate any interpersonal issues between team members or guideline violations to the Food and Beverage Supervisor or Manager promptly

Training and Development:

  • Maintain knowledge of F&B offerings at multiple outlets throughout the park

  • Demonstrate correct service standards through active participation in operational positions

  • Provide hands-on training to team members to maintain consistent service standards

  • Train and supervise F&B team members to make certain they are capable of performing the job task(s) assigned to them in a profesional and timely manner as well as interacting appropriately with guests, including the information needed to answer guest questions

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of assigned food outlet, ensuring efficiency, cleanliness, and compliance with health and safety standards

Workforce Compliance Oversight:

  • Monitor employee hours to ensure that the pre-set line schedule designed by the Food and Beverage Manager is correctly followed

  • Ensure meticulous adherence to all labor regulations within the Food & Beverage department

  • Monitor and enforce the strict observance of team members' schedules, including break times

  • Responsible to adhere to all applicable labor regulations and guidelines, including scheduled start and end time, break schedule and consecutive days worked

  • Team member is responsable for providing proper footwear (Non-Slip/Non-Skid)

Guest Service:

  • Greet all guests with a friendly smile and inviting manner, contributing to a positive guest experience.

  • Smile and communicate with coworkers and guests

  • Help guests by answering questions

  • Provide first-line support to guests with issues or concerns and escalate as needed

  • Champion a guest-centric approach, ensuring exceptional service, food quality, and overall dining experiences that leave guests craving more

Additional Duties:

  • Support fellow team members and collaborate with other departments to enhance the overall guest experience.

  • Promptly notify the Operations Dispatcher of team member and guest injuries or emergencies.

  • Operate point of sale system and troubleshoot as needed.

  • Support our park through other duties as assigned by your manager.

Education and Experience: No minimum educational requirements. 1+ year of in-park food and beverage experience

Languages: English

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum age of 16 years at the time of application.

  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience is required; however, one year of experience will be deemed sufficient if it pertains specifically to in-park operations at Idlewild and Soakzone.

  • Reliable transportation to and from work for scheduled shifts.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.

  • Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and professional image in accordance with Idlewild and SoakZone guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Availability to work at least 1 weekend day (Saturday, Sunday) a week throughout the operational season

  • Ability to work at least five days per week and at least 40 hours per week from June through August (shifts available starting in May and continuing through October).

Working Conditions:

  • Exposure to various weather conditions, including extreme heat, humidity, sun exposure, cold and inclement weather.

  • Physical requirements include standing (up to five hours at a time), walking long distances within the park, bending at the waist and knees, repeated manual dexterity, and the ability to carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds without assistance on a regular basis.
