Position Summary

Under the general supervision of the Network Access Management Section Chief, this position performs advanced level work for the enterprise network access infrastructure. This position is responsible for the integration and connectivity of the external identity communication infrastructure for agency and enterprise systems.

These systems involve multiple hardware and software platforms, multiple operating systems, and emerging technologies such as cloud-based identity service providers, multifactor, and network identity access management service infrastructure. The person in this position will participate in projects as an external identity expert and is responsible for the research, development, and support of the enterprise external identity infrastructure and tools to allow for all communications between IT assets connected to and between the state's network and any external entity.

Levels will be determined by applicant qualifications and experience.

Salary Information

Starting salary for the IS Enterprise Technical Services Specialist (07-33) will be between $33.49 - $50.00 an hour, depending on applicant qualifications. Starting salary for the IS Enterprise Technical Services Consultant Administrator (07-32) will be between $38.27 - $55.00 an hour, depending on applicant qualifications.

A 12-month probationary period is required. Pay for current state employees will be in accordance with the State Compensation Plan.

Job Details

Due to the nature of the position, DOA will conduct fingerprinting and/or background checks on applicants prior to selection. DOA does not sponsor work visas. In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States, and to complete the required employment eligibility form upon hire.

Certain positions within this Department may allow remote/work from home flexibility for a portion of their work schedule, depending on the needs of the position and the work unit. This topic and any remote work flexibility that may be available will be discussed in more detail in the interview process.

Qualifications

Minimally qualified applicants for either level will have the following:

  • Experience with cloud and physical premises external identity service providers' technologies (e.g. Microsoft Azure, Google, AWS, Okta, and other external directory solutions)

  • Experience with external cloud based identity security concepts

  • Experience with identity directory provider administration across multiple tier types (e.g. forests, partitions, attributes, sync, SCIM provisioning, CAPs, function roles, replication services, role-based access right services, certificate services, federation services)

  • Experience with multifactor (MFA) solutions (e.g. RSA, DUO, Okta, Google, Microsoft MFA, or similar solutions for multiple methods for user identification).
