3Ci is seeking a candidate for the direct hire position of Senior Cybersecurity Engineer for our Client in the Utilities sector. As a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the security of our organization's software applications. Collaborating closely with development teams, you will identify and remediate security vulnerabilities throughout the software development lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include conducting security assessments, implementing security controls, and providing guidance on secure coding practices. Additionally, you will collaborate with multi-functional teams to enhance the overall security posture of our applications and mitigate potential risks.

Required Education and Experience
7+ years of experience in Information Technology, Information Security, Software Development, or Cybersecurity
4+ years of experience in Cybersecurity
Experience in application security, including conducting security assessments, code reviews, and implementing security controls
General Requirements
Solid understanding of secure software development practices and common vulnerabilities
Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as JavaScript, Java, Python, PowerShell, Bash, and C#
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CISM, CSSLP, CASE, CASP+, OSCP, GWEB, etc.
Experience with cloud security principles and platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP

Essential Functions
Perform security assessments of software applications to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses
Develop and implement security controls to mitigate risks and protect sensitive data
Conduct code reviews to identify security flaws and recommend remediation strategies
Integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle
Design and implement secure authentication, authorization, and encryption mechanisms
Provide security guidance and training to development teams
Investigate and respond to security incidents
Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats and technologies
Perform other tasks as required
