IDB Invest Communications Lead Officer/Officer - Web Content Management

Background: The Institutional Communications team is looking for an experienced web content manager professional to support the work we do and help disseminate IDB Invest content.

The Team: The Finance and Administration Department (FNA) covers the following areas: Controllership, Treasury, and Institutional Communications. The selected candidate will join the Institutional Communications team which manages the institutions communication strategy, corporate communications channels, branding, and internal communications. You will report to the Head of Communications and coordinate with the other organizational units of IDB Invest and the IDB, as needed.

What you will do:

  • Coordinate and oversee the ongoing delivery and improvement of the content, design and functionality of idbinvest.org and other owned digital assets;

  • Support content managers with writing and editing, in alignment with IDB Group Style Guidelines;

  • Develop, execute and maintain an overall IDB Invest content governance and production strategy, with emphasis on user experience and content management;

  • Contribute to the design of innovative and high impact multimedia products;

  • Support corporate communications, marketing and branding activities;

  • Generate publication guidelines according to IDB Invest branding standards;

  • Improve content and publication processes and workflows;

  • Lead and supervise the editorial team of IDB Invest sections on the website;

  • Coordinate efforts with other teams in IDB Invest regarding integration with the external web site;

  • Manage website and follow-up for all projects within the organization's needs.

What you will need

  • Education: Master's degree in English, communications, journalism, or related field

  • Experience: Five to seven years of experience, at least three of which include managing editorial projects and websites. At least two years of related professional work experience in the private sector, advertising agencies, financial institutions, and/or multilateral organizations.

  • Languages: You are proficient in oral and written English and Spanish. Knowledge of French and Portuguese is considered a plus.

VIEW JOBS 8/5/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-11-03T00:00 IDB Invest Portfolio Management Officer - Equity & Mezzanine Background: We are currently looking for a highly qualified professional to join the Portfolio Management Division of IDB Invest's Investment Operations Department (INO), to monitor a portfolio of equity and mezzanine transactions with private sector counterparts in Latin America and the Caribbean. The Investment Operations Department is responsible for generating a portfolio of high quality, creditworthy, and environmentally and socially sound projects that result in significant development impact. The business cycle goes from the identification, selection, origination and execution of transactions to their monitoring. The Department follows a matrix model, with three segment divisions covering Infrastructure and Energy, Financial Institutions and Corporates, as well as three transversal areas such as the Financial Products and Services Division, the Advisory Services Division and the Portfolio Management Division. The Team: You will join the Portfolio Management Division and will work under the direct supervision of the Division Chief in coordination with the Portfolio Head of the relevant business segment. The monitoring will require regular and ad hoc analysis of the counterparts' financial and business performance and reviews of the loan documentation to ensure compliance with contracts, covenants etc. As a Portfolio Management Officer you will coordinate with other organizational units of IDB Invest and IDB, as needed. What you will do: * Work autonomously and with other INO members in overseeing a growing portfolio of equity and quasi-equity transactions with infrastructure, financial intermediaries and corporate counterparts. * Obtain and analyze information to assess counterparty compliance, including covenants, with financing and investment agreements and to mitigate risk. * Conduct financial statement analysis, investment valuation analysis, analyze financial projections, prepare risk rating proposals and periodic supervision reports to assess the credit standing and equity valuation of IDB Invest's counterparts. * Assess status / events affecting equity and quasi-equity transactions and, where necessary, disseminate information / prepare recommendations for appropriate action and next steps. * Participate in client monitoring meetings. * Coordinate presentations to the internal oversight committees with regards to the equity portfolio. * Follow on-going developments in the relevant industry sector(s). * Maintains knowledge of country specific equity and quasi-equity transactions. Oversees preparation of lessons learned from projects. Disseminates information to project teams on transaction strengths, weaknesses, risks and risk mitigation options. * Ensure that assigned counterparts comply with IDB Invest's internal risk policies and guidelines liaising closely with the credit risk management, environmental and social, legal and finance departments, among others. * Participation in activities that support inclusiveness (mentoring, recruitment, leadership development, on-boarding, etc.). * Propose and support actions to improve and streamline internal processes. * Contribute to the development and assessment of developmental effectiveness indicators. * Provide support to the Portfolio Management Division and the Investment Operations Department in other tasks required. What you'll need: Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab. Education: You have an advanced degree (at least Master's, MBA, or equivalent) in Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, International Development and/or other relevant fields. CFA designation is a plus. Experience: You have at least five (5) years of relevant work experience in equity and/or quasi-equity which may also include experience in mergers and acquisitions. Understanding of client needs and challenges, of different country/regional areas, market idiosyncrasies, and drivers of change in Latin America and the Caribbean.
