• SICU Job Specialty: Surgical Intensive Care Unit Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift

• 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) Guaranteed Hours: Per facility standard Experience: Minimum 2 years as RN, 1 year of travel nursing required License: Valid KY or Compact license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (American Heart Association only) Must-Have:

• Experience with vascular surgery and cardiac populations

• Experience with AAA repair, carotid endarterectomy, fem-pop bypass, and similar surgeries

• Experience with carotids, pneumonectomy, and post-thoracic surgery

• Experience with EVAR, intra-aortic balloon pump, and TAVR - Familiarity with stroke signs/symptoms competency and bedside dysphagia screening

• Experience working in a certified stroke center critical care unit preferred

• Meditech EMR experience preferred, required in emergencies Job Description:

• Work in a mixed acuity unit, caring for patients with varying levels of acuity

• Nurse-to-patient ratios range from 1:2-3 for unit patients to 1:4-5 for step-down acuity

• Required to float within scope to meet facility needs

• Weekend work required every other weekend

• Orientations start every Monday
