  • 7pm or 7 pm 7am) 3x/week plus 8 extra shifts per year

50% nights, 50% days
Twelve hr shifts (7am

  • 7pm or 7 pm 7am) 3x/week plus 8 extra shifts per year
    2-3 Holidays per year
    4-6 weekend shifts per month

ICU Job description details:
Medical coverage in the ICU, evaluation & management of intensive care unit patients covered by the critical care team.
The ICU PA/NP (provider) reports to the ICU Medical Director for clinical and administrative issues pertaining to the ICU. For broader administrative issues the Chief of Medicine should be consulted.
The attending critical care physician on service is available for consultation regarding specific patient related problems. The attending of record should be informed of any significant change in a patients clinical status.
Hours for this role would be: three (3) twelve (12) hour shifts per week. 50% of shifts on Days and 50% on Nights. Day shifts are 7a

  • 7p and Night shifts are 7p

  • 7a. Would be required to pick up eight (8) additional shifts per year. Paid for 40 hours worked each week.

Job Requirements
Education: Graduate of an approved PA or NP program and nationally certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners.

Experience: Two to five years in-patient or ICU or critical care PA/NP experience.

Demonstrated autonomy and competency managing critically ill patients and excellent problem solving ability. Able to independently perform some invasive procedures. Demonstrated leadership experience in coordinating clinical services for acutely ill patients.

License/Certification Required: ACLS certified. Stroke Certification required within one year of hire.

Proficiency in central venous and arterial access.

Management and resuscitation of unstable patients. Management of respiratory failure including proficiency with standard modes of mechanical ventilation.

Position description The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN is seeking a Women's Health or Family NP or PA-C providers to join our High Risk Obstetrical Team in the Outpatient Antenatal Clinic. Members of the Obstetrical Care Team at Mayo Clinic offer compassionate, expert, and personalized care. Our multi-specialty practice allows obstetric providers to work with specialists in maternal and fetal medicine, medical genetics, reproductive medicine and other medical and surgical specialties as needed. Obstetrics team members assist in the perinatal care of more than 2,400 women each year. YOUR ROLE: As an Advanced Practice Provider on the High Risk OB Care Team, you will deliver antenatal and postpartum care to women with medically complex pregnancies. Professional responsibilities include provision of the routine components of prenatal care such as education and support, monitoring maternal and fetal wellbeing, as well as working in collaboration with high risk obstetricians and other specialists to monitor and treat underlying and evolving maternal medical conditions. Additionally, education of medical students, residents, and other advanced practice providers in the clinical setting is an important part of our role in this academic environment. Qualifications Masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current Minnesota RN and APRN license and certified as Women's Health Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner. A Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) is preferred. Or graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the Minnesota State Board of Medical Practice. BLS certification and DEA registration will be required. Additional qualifications Electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) is highly preferred. Limited OB ultrasound certification for first and third trimester required within one year of start date.
