ICS/SCADA Test Engineer - SecretLevel Clearance Required!!!! Located at Lackland AFB., San Antonio, Texas

Job Summary:

Performs technical assessments of Industrial control system (ICS)/ Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) networks. Evaluates effectiveness and efficiencies of all system upgrades, updates and changes to the ICS/SCADA Network.

While you will be given lots of room to learn and grow, here are the starting requirements:

• Active DoD Secret Level government clearance in JPAS
• Requires a DoD 8140 IAT level II certification or higher.
• MA/MS Degree. Preferred in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering Management, or similar (4 years min experience)
• BA/BS Degree. Preferred in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering Management, or similar (6 years min experience)
• High School Diploma (10 years min experience)

Responsibilities:

• Requires specialized experience in evaluating, analyzing, maintaining, managing, or improving of ICS/SCADA systems for electric, water, natural gas, fuels distribution, building environment control, waste management (sewage) systems with monitoring and management applications.

• Follows specific layout and diagrams to construct, implement, and operate devices and subunits of equipment.

• Designs, develops, tests, and reports on the ICS/SCADA software or network system under test solutions.

• Reviews, analyzes, develops, installs, and modifies computer operating systems used in the test environment.

• Analyzes and resolves problems associated with operating systems.

• Interprets manufacturer manuals or similar documents.

• Detects, diagnoses, and reports related problems.

• Makes suggestions to end users regarding communications software and hardware solutions.

• Provides documentation/project tracking and management reporting.

• Coordinates upgrade specifications and schedules with internal or external users and ensures proper integration.

• Provides tactical and strategic input to overall network planning and related projects. Designs, builds, operate, and maintain ICS/SCADA training, exercise, and test range environments.

• Works under general supervision.

• Typically reports to a project leader, supervisor, or manager.

• Must be adept at problem solving, identifying risk, and communicating results and recommendations to department management.

• Application of ICS/SCADA in an US Military environment is highly desired
