ICG Risk Credit Approval - Vice President

Citi, subsequent to request from the regulators, has decided to invest significant amount in its technology systems to improve the quality of data used for decision-making. This role will be part of Risk Management's Oversight and Process Management team and responsible for resolving high priority data issues impacting wholesale credit risk exposure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help build-out technology infrastructure for credit approval process

  • Work closely with ICG business and risk users to identify credit remediation issues

  • Build a strategy to address regulatory concerns/MRAs associated with credit workflows

  • Develop an in depth understanding of the credit process for Documentation, Ratings, Credit Reviews, Client Onboarding, Collateral etc

  • Understand the interaction of various CitiRisk applications enabling these workflows and identify points of failure

  • Work with technology to manage and implement the book of work for enhancements and fixes

  • Provide regular status updates to senior management

  • Develop an end to end understanding of ICG Credit Workflows

  • Develop a strong network with Risk Management and Technology leaders across the globe

  • Constructively impact efficiency and productivity of various ICG Risk units

  • Gain global view of the Risk Management priorities

  • Deepen understanding of day to day Risk Management

Qualifications:

  • 7+ year experience covering Risk Management, Technology and Project Management

  • Basic understanding of credit approval process and risk management concepts

  • Superior Communication and Influencing skills

  • Analytical individual with ability to model data and draw conclusions

  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities with demonstrated experience in executing against tight deadlines and managing issue escalation

  • Ability to move between the detail and the strategic, providing quality content at both

  • High level of personal integrity, proven dedication to excellence, leadership qualities and a flexible, creative, innovative personality

The responsibilities of the role are significant contributors to the success of the broader team's mandate to deliver best-in-class risk governance programs and processes.
