Provides instruction of ice skating programs for different age groups. Supervises a group youth and/or adults. Promotes a positive environment for children, parents and staff.
Scope of Responsibilities:
Teach ice skating skills and follow the progressive skills program.
Maintain attendance and skill accomplishment records.
Maintain surveillance of students and know their whereabouts at all times.
Report accidents or injuries and complete accident reports as required.
Attend meetings necessary to improve communications between students and staff.
Monitor participants skate fit quality and function.
Be available to assist fitting of equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Reporting any items that may provide a health or safety hazard to staff, members or guests to your supervisor
Following all policies and procedures related to keeping children safe in our facilities and programs, including those related to the monitoring and supervision of children
Reporting any suspicious behavior and violation of policy and procedures to your supervisor
Completing all child abuse prevention training as required

Must be able to pass the required Delta test of ISIA.
Ice Skate teaching experience at YMCA rink, ISIA, or USFSA Skating School 1-3 sessions.
Experience working with children is preferred
