Position Overview: As an ICC Mechanical Special Inspector at 20/20 Inspections, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with mechanical, plumbing, and fuel gas codes.

Your expertise will be utilized to inspect and validate a diverse range of systems, from technically intricate engineered commercial systems to heating and cooling installations. Key Responsibilities:

Conduct skilled mechanical, plumbing, and fuel gas code inspections to guarantee adherence to approved project drawings, codes, standards, and specifications. Inspect and verify testing of various systems, including heating and cooling, ducts and piping, fuel gas piping, refrigeration, building ventilation, exhaust systems, and more. Interpret and apply code requirements to ensure the seamless operation of commercial building systems.

Read and interpret on-site approved plans, specifications, and installation instructions. Verify equipment sizing, installation, and testing in compliance with code requirements. Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical Engineering, or Architecture. 2 years of related work experience as a special inspector.

ICC Commercial Inspector Certification OR P.E. in Mechanical Engineering. OSHA-10 safety training certification. Thorough knowledge of NYC Mechanical, Plumbing, and Fuel Gas Codes.
