Overview

QuantiTech is currenty seeking an ICBM CTF Live Fire Test & Evaluation Test Engineer to support our customer in Hill AFB, UT.

Responsibilities

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide technical support to the ICBM Combined Test Force (CTF) Lead Developmental Test & Evaluation Organization (LDTO) in development test and evaluation (T&E) activities for AF Nuclear Weapons Center missile systems.

  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary government and contractor team to plan, test, analyze, and report through multiple program acquisition phases.

  • Support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program development test effort to assess performance against stated program requirements.

  • Support overall development of the GBSD independent Live Fire Test & Evaluation (LFT&E) test plans and execution.

  • Author and coordinate overall LFT&E test strategy, and review/coordinate on contractor component-level LFT&E activities.

  • Author the LFT&E test plan, coordinating with test organizations (including 96TW, DTRA, others), overseeing test execution, and analysis/reporting on LFT&E.

  • Support coordination with OSD/DOT&E as well as sister services, DTRA, and the prime contractor.

  • Maintain cognizance of all assigned CTF/Test Team engineering activities.

  • Support periodic reviews of test support and systems integration test results and test plan status. Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Integrated Test Teams (ITTs) as appropriate.

  • Provide technical support and advocate integrated approaches of engineering efforts and support of test activities for which existing guidelines may not be available or applicable.

  • Serve as a test team participant in the development of overall plans such as the Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP), System Test Plan (STP), Developmental Test (DT) Report, recommendation for IOT&E readiness, and other technical documents.

  • Other roles can evolve for other LDTO projects.

Qualifications

  • Must possess an active and transferrable DoD security clearance with current investigation at the required level. Must be able to maintain the required clearance.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in related field and up to 3 years of experience required, some of which includes test and evaluation.

  • Experience in working with a multi-functional team in coordinating and executing plans is highly desired.

  • Experience with testing interfaces within complex systems and tracking discrepancies is desired.

  • Experience with Matlab and statistical techniques desired.

  • Experience in incorporating safety considerations in test planning is desired.

  • Work is timely, efficient and of acceptable quality. Completed work meets project/program objectives.

  • Personal and organizational interactions exhibit and foster cooperation and teamwork, enhance customer relations, and actively promote rapport with customers

  • Verbal and written communications are clear, concise, and at appropriate level, and experience in communicating with senior staff levels is highly desired.

  • Utilize resources effectively to accomplish mission, including ability to work effectively alone, unsupervised, or within a group.

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while being able to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines.

  • Focused adherence to safety and security requirements.

  • Familiarity with test & evaluation planning and processes consistent with DoD acquisition directives and policies is highly desired.

  • Familiarity with ICBM weapon systems and related subsystems/equipment, their projected use in the military, and methods of testing is desired.

  • Familiarity with ground and flight test conduct, data analysis/evaluation, modeling and simulation, technical report preparation, and administrative aspects of ground and flight test programs is desired

  • Must be willing to travel up to 10%.
