Job Summary
An Instrumentation Controls Technician designs/troubleshoots machine controls using PLC's, PC's, HMIs motor drives or other instrumentation/controls.
Job Responsibilities
Develop control, data collection and signal processing systems
Troubleshoot existing PLC's , HMIs, motor drives, electronic circuits, electro-mechanical systems, PID controllers and electronic sensors of all types
Ensure satisfactory operation of new equipment; prepare operating and training manuals
Train maintenance staff to service critical electronic components
Monitor and adjust as necessary any equipment validating product
Qualifications
Min. 5 years in electrical and electronics field.
Strong process control background, including temperature & pressure controls, strain gages/load cells, signal conditioners, lasers
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Competent with PLC programming, control panel layout and construction
Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills in fast paced manufacturing environment
Flexible and open minded to assist and perform any task as required by management not limited to the above criteria listed
