Position Summary

Radiology Associates of Florida (RAF) is actively seeking an Independent Contractor (IC) Interventional/Diagnostic Radiologist to enhance and support our practice on the Space Coast, with a primary focus at Rockledge Regional Medical Center in Rockledge, FL. At RAF, we embrace a collaborative team-based approach, providing our next Radiologist with the opportunity to work alongside a seasoned team of subspecialists.

In addition to fostering collaboration within our team, our practice ethos extends to supporting our colleagues across our network. Radiologists within this division are encouraged to participate in vacation coverage for their peers at our local sister sites.

Within the Space Coast region, we proudly serve several reputable medical facilities including Rockledge Regional Medical Center, Melbourne Regional Medical Center, Sebastian River Medical Center, and Parrish Medical Center. Rockledge Regional Medical Center stands as a cornerstone healthcare provider in Brevard County, boasting 298 beds and a comprehensive array of healthcare services and programs. Melbourne Regional Medical Center, with its 119 private rooms designed for patient comfort, serves as another beacon of healthcare excellence.

Sebastian River Medical Center, licensed for 178 beds, serves the residents and visitors of Sebastian and Vero Beach communities with unwavering dedication. Additionally, our practice proudly supports Parrish Medical Center, a 210-bed hospital in Titusville, FL, known for its innovative evidenced-based healing design, earning national recognition as one of America's finest healing environments. The accolades and certifications earned by these esteemed medical facilities underscore their unwavering commitment to providing high-quality, comprehensive, and accessible care to the Space Coast community.

Please note, this position is an independent contractor role and is not eligible for benefits. The position offers scheduled day shift hours, with flexibility to negotiate shifts as agreed upon by both the practice and the IC Rad.

We are seeking an ideal candidate with robust clinical skills in all aspects of interventional and diagnostic radiology. MQSA certification would be considered a plus.

RAF is the largest radiology practice in Florida. We serve the most prestigious, established health systems in the state, including on the east and west coasts, the Florida Panhandle, and the Keys.

Our scale affords our practice stability and affords our radiologists flexibility in study mix and scheduling. We also recognize that scale alone does not beget excellence. We are quality-oriented, and we practice radiology at the cutting edge, encouraging subspecialty-level interpretations across the practice, and facilitating collaboration and consultation between our radiologists. Our state-of-the-art IT suite includes universal PACS across the practice, AI tools, and integrated doc-to-doc communication widgets.

Our practice is locally and democratically led, with decisions vested in the hands of the group at large, rather than in a few founders or a small group of shareholders. We are the teaching physicians for the University of South Florida Department of Radiology in Tampa.

In Sarasota, our physicians staff the Florida State University College of Medicine, hosting medical students in their 3rd and 4th years. We also invite residents from the FSU Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine Residency programs to rotate in our departments.

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Candidates must be a Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy and residency trained in the practice of Diagnostic Radiology

• Board eligible or certified by American Board of Radiology or the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology

• MQSA certified would be a plus

• Medical license or the ability to obtain a license in the state of FL
