IC Design Engineer Intern

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with Integrated Circuit (IC) design tasks for Applications Specific Integrated Circuits (ASIC) for medical implants.

• Assist with generating design documentation required for the ISO13485 Medical Device Development standard.

• This is an opportunity to gain experience in IC design including: transistor level circuit design, layout, and verification.

QUALIFICATIONS

• In process Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering

• In process Masters degree in Electrical Engineering strongly preferred

• Completed at least one class in transistor level circuit design and/or digital design with some experience using IC design software.

• Interest in how complex medical devices work

• High attention to detail

• Proficient with MS Word and Excel

• Experience with scripting or high-level software programming a plus

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.
