Your Role

  • Coordinate with vendors for resolution to issues

  • Provide account and system administration for UNIX and Windows platforms

  • Remote installation of new systems

  • Patch installation

  • Schedule onsite repair for remote locations through appropriate vendors

  • Enlist local assistance when routine assistance is needed

  • Production support of hardware and operating systems

  • Deploy needed patches and OS configuration changes

  • Backup and Restore Architecture

  • Configure backup schedules

VIEW JOBS 5/29/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-08-27T00:00 Position Summary Position responsible to develop, plan, and coordinate activities related to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software implementation for the City/County. These activities include defining and gathering requirements, developing requests for proposals (RFP), evaluating and selecting appropriate vendors, building and managing implementation teams, establishing timelines and implementation plan/phases, and managing all implementation processes. Position Responsibilities Provides leadership in defining ERP project goals, requirements, plans, timelines, and resources. Provides leadership in the planning, design, definition, selection, piloting and deployment of technology infrastructure and architecture related to ERP implementation. Develops and manages project plans including goals, strategy, requirements, possible risks, budget, and resource requirements. Leads development of technology strategies, based on business needs. Seeks out best practices that may accelerate the implementation of or mitigate the risk of deploying leading edge technologies at the city/county. Ensures development and utilization of solid financial and human resource controls and best practices through ERP software implementation. Establishes, modifies, implements, and monitors systems and procedures to enhance timely and efficient project implementation. Leads technology competitive selection processes including RFP development, selection and contract negotiation. Coordinates with team members, outside consultants, and internal customers to review timelines, resource requirements, application requirements, and tasks. Reports on project status and provides additional documentation on projects and action items. Acts as an advocate of change and innovation, enlisting support for change, acting as problem solver to keep implementations on track and gaining support as necessary. Monitors organizational climate and develops/implements strategies to promote acceptance of change. Manages training requirements for ERP project. Identifies training needs, develops overall training project plan, and arranges resources. Conducts and leads meetings including staff meetings, city/county-wide project team meetings, as well as informational progress update sessions. Maintains supervisory responsibility involving staffing, conducting performance appraisals, training and developing team members, promotions, disciplinary actions, etc. This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities that management may deem necessary from time to time. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related area (Business, Accounting, Information Systems, etc.) and five (5) years related experience required. Advanced degrees and certifications (MBA, CPA, etc.) as well as experience in government accounting, budgetary procedures, and business processes preferred. Comprehensive knowledge of accounting standards and procedures (GAAP, GASB). Ability to analyze, project, and utilize spreadsheet(s), database(s), and other software is required. Ability to coordinate multiple projects and meet various deadlines is a must. Excellent communication skills and the ability to describe and present complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience are required. Should be able to make persuasive arguments with the ability to sell ideas and recommend solutions to a wide variety of individuals. Independent Judgment Independent judgment is regularly utilized when there are no available policies and procedures and errors in judgment may cause inconveniences and inefficiencies, as well as long-term budgetary and operational problems.
