Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities

The IA Software Developer will be responsible for executing business projects to automate new or existing processes using common IA tools like Automation Anywhere. The ideal candidate for this position will have the skills and experience necessary to:

  • Analyze business problems, develop technology solutions to these problems and manage the solution through the full life-cycle

  • Develop innovative solutions to exceed the needs of the business

  • Develop reusable components, frameworks and libraries

  • Perform Unit Testing, support Systems Integration testing and UAT

  • Adhere to best practices for implementing IA solutions

  • Works closely with the architecture groups to ensure Technology standards are within Robotic Management Office guidelines

  • Works in collaboration with projects teams to develop, test, implement and support solutions using IA platforms.

  • Responsible for ensuring an efficient integration of programming deliverables, timely builds and overall code quality

  • Educate business teams on IA development best practices

  • Become IA Champion for Claim Technology

  • Build lasting partnerships with Technology and Business Team

Education, Work Experience & Knowledge

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, MIS or related field preferred.

  • 1 Year hands on IA development experience

  • 5 or more years of Technology experience

  • Knowledge of Agile Frameworks, preferably Scrum and/or SAFe

Experience using one or more of the following preferred:

  • C# .net programming experience for building libraries, methods, modules.

  • SQL, Windows Server 2012+, SQL Server

  • Automation Anywhere, Pega/Open Span or comparable tool

Minimum Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or its equivalent in work experience, and five years of programming/development experience.

This role is a blend of two critical functions where you will be an IA Champion for the processes you own, not only partnering very closely with Claim Business areas to solicit for process, requirements & analysis but also serve as the person who partners with the IA Product Manager and provides input to define & drive the strategic vision for Intelligent Automation. The ideal candidate for this position will have the skills and experience necessary to: * Define and drive business priorities and project deliverables in alignment with business scope. * Act as content authority for their Agile team regarding "what gets built" * Relentlessly engage with business and functional partners and other stakeholders that represent the project vision and business needs * Work collaboratively with the Business Owner, IA Product Manager, all members of the Agile team, and as an active member of the Product Council. Based upon the process vision, drives, observes and/or reviews business feedback, as well as core capability strategy and enhancement efforts * Provide guidance to the team to ensure what is being developed satisfies the needs of the business. * Ensure Agile Team's understanding of business objectives and OWNS their Agile Team's backlog * Assist in test data creation and testing when needed. Quality is baked into everything we do. * Determine how the business needs will be satisfied via design, build and test by the Execution Team. * Escalate business issues and questions for decision making to appropriate stakeholders. * Ensure overall delivery of business value and business adoption of solutions * Exercises judgment in planning and latitude in determining objectives of assignments * Make decisions that integrate business goals/objectives aligned with project * Utilize process modeling techniques to model AS-IS and TO-BE processes that will feed Process Design documentation * Partner closely with IA Product Manager and business areas to facilitate process improvement exercises, engaging external support when required * Educate business partners and Line of Business leads on Intelligent Automation capabilities and "fit for purpose" solutions This job does not manage others, although through a matrixed relationship is responsible for leadership of their agile teams and providing input into performance evaluations.
