We are seeking an experienced Information System Security Officer (ISSO) in support of the Department of Defense and National programs. The candidate will be responsible to the ISSM for the program System Security Plan (SSP), Information System Profile (ISP), RMF Control Families, Hardware/Software Configuration Management IAW RMF and/or C&A requirements, Privileged User's Guide, Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) and other security documentation.
The selected candidate will work with the ISSM to audit, maintain, and conduct security tasks on the information system to ensure security solutions meet contractual security requirements. The ISSO will be responsible for notifying the project team of appropriate security measures, identifying potential security weaknesses, recommending improvements to address vulnerabilities, and monitoring system security.

Bachelor's Degree in a technology related field, or equivalent combination of experience and education
Prefer two (2) years' experience in information assurance/security. RMF/JSIG/NISPOM, preferred
Experience with accreditation documentation, RMF Control Families and Control Development
Experience Assessing and Validating RMF Controls.
A successful candidate will have some experience with processing and updating Certification and Accreditation documentation and system authorization artifacts under the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (DoD 5220.22-M) or previous C&A frameworks such as RMF/JSIG/JAFAN
The candidate should have some experience with DoD, DSS/NAO hardening guidance and STIGs, and/or other related hardening and compliance assessment tools to oversee the implementation and enforcement of security policies, as well as, the concept for conducting computer log audits
The position requires strong critical thinking/analytical skills, attention to detail, creativity, and a sustained commitment to excellence and quality
The position requires excellent oral and written communication skills
Must be detailed oriented and have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must meet the DoD 8570.01-M certification requirements for an IAM Level I (CompTIA Security certification)
Be experienced in evaluating hardware security such as Trusted Platform features, EEFI/BIOS security, and sanitization measures
The ability to work independently and in a dynamic work environment
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET Security Clearance
Currently Active DoD Secret Clearance is preferred
Experience with computer auditing procedures
CISSP, CEH certifications are a plus
Experience with Windows and Linux client/server security administration and the underlying technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, LDAP, and the security subsystem (IA&A)
