Job Description

The Innovation to Market (I2M) Excellence Manager directs and guides the activities of programs consisting of multiple and related projects executed by performing organizations and/or staff, ensuring execution is in line with the business strategy.

Responsible for ensuring compliance with the relevant internal/ external policies, procedures and standards

Supervises, resources, selects, develops, coaches and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Sets targets for and tracks performance indicators on programs.

Gives direction and enables complex, integral programs, interacts with multiple Businesses and / or Knowledge Centers inside and outside Philips.

In this role, you will:

  • Keep up-to-date with the evolving business and application domain in order to optimize the goals of each program and improve the alignment

  • Deploy Process Improvement and Quality Assurance and makes the program organization efficient and transparent, in line with business and program processes

  • Ensure cross-pollination, maintains a historical database for estimates of future programs, leads lessons learned, incorporates continuous improvement, facilitates harmonization across functions and departments

  • Provide business management with regular program performance status, variances to plan and identification of corrective actions, reports on performance to the hierarchical outstanding of the project managers for the purpose of appraisal and conducts evaluation at the end of the program

  • Provide a consultative role to projects and or programs by supplying templates, standard methodologies, training, access to information and lessons learnt from other projects

To succeed, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Leads multi-site, cross-functional programs

  • Responsible for alignment between projects within the program and for synergy between programs

  • Professional knowledge on a wide range of relevant technologies.

  • Knows and applies the guidelines for Sponsors and Stakeholders of projects

  • Proven excellent soft-skills.

  • Driving long term changes for the business

  • Knowledge Center

  • Milestone adherence:

  • Project on time: Timing technical handover in line with billing plan of business case

  • Project within budget

  • Customer satisfaction: NPS

  • Project Handover and close out completed

VIEW JOBS 3/16/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-06-14T00:00 You will be based out of our Amsterdam or London office and will be part of the Petroleum Asset eXcellence (PAX) unit within McKinsey's Oil & Gas practice. Your work will directly contribute to increasing the value of Upstream assets and turnaround operational performance. McKinsey's renowned advisory, combined with specialized expertise in reservoir / well management, drilling, production optimization, onshore / offshore operations and asset management, allows PAX to integrate with the existing asset team to address current business and performance challenges - to maximize and realize the intrinsic value of the asset, whilst improving capabilities and sustaining change. You will apply your industry experience to support clients and provide expertise and support to our client teams. In this role you will work as a team member for specific client (Oil & Gas) operations, transformation and improvement programs with direct contact to key members of client organizations. You will provide analytical support to teams, through the development and application of our proprietary Oil & Gas models. Additionally, you'll work closely with client executives, traditional McKinsey client service teams, and sector teams to develop recommendations based on the findings and ultimately drive implementation and change. You will participate in, or at times lead, key internal knowledge-building initiatives as well as conferences and client workshops. * Undergraduate degree, ideally in Petroleum Engineering or closely related specialty; Post graduate qualifications in business is advantageous * 8+ years of experience working within an Oil & Gas company, either at an operator or service provider/OFSC Upstream focused (e.g., reservoir engineering, production optimization, drilling and completions, well intervention, services and facilities) * Strong background in project management and/or asset management for onshore or offshore assets * Exposed to different commercial agreements across different assets and various JV partners (national or international) * Strong business insight, impressive career development, and outstanding performance track record * Experience participating in or leading operational improvement projects * Excellent written and oral English communication skills are required * Flexibility to travel Mckinsey Amsterdam NY
