Responsibilities
As a Process Engineer in our US South Territories, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Fiber Process Parts (FPP) - Hydrocyclone Business through service and technical support. Your primary focus will be on assisting customers who use Valmet-supplied parts and systems, while also internally promoting our Hydrocyclone product line. You will also work with customers for Valmet products and solutions on their Non-Valmet Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) Systems.
In this position, you will work towards optimizing system efficiency by conducting mill audits, suggesting adjustments to operating parameters, and recommending upgrades. Your duties will involve generating comprehensive service reports for mills, proposing part replacements or upgrades as needed, and ensuring customer satisfaction through appropriate follow-up.
Additionally, you will collaborate closely with a Valmet Mill Team, comprising of Product Sales Managers for Fiber Process Parts (PSM's - FPP), Pulp and Stock Preparation Product Sales Managers, and other team members.
Expectations
Candidate must have at a minimum an associate degree from a Technical College, a Certified 4- yr College or University Degree preferred, plus a minimum of 1 to 3 years' field experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. To excel in the role, experience from the pulp and paper industry would be beneficial. You will balance a desire to support and work closely with customers and Valmet Team members to grow, support, and develop products and business.
