Position Summary

Service Tech Foreman are responsible for efficiently managing a team to remove deposits from power plant condensers and heat exchangers to restore, improve, and maintain their optimal operating performance. In addition, accountable for the safety of crew members, troubleshooting, equipment & trailer setups, and maintaining field customer relationships. Service Technicians Supervisors need to have the ability to mobilize at short notice to travel and perform work in primarily a nuclear, chemical, and/or fossil power plant.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

The ability to lead/supervise technicians to a specific goal to meet the schedule and cleaning needs of customers.

Convey JSA Plan & Toolbox Safety meeting to all crew members at the start of every shift.

Ensures all shift paperwork is correct & complete (including time sheets, safety sheets, etc.).

The ability to instruct/train/mentor technicians in a proactive & efficient manner.

Manually clean condenser and heat exchange tubes by use of a water pump system with assorted tube cleaners.

Reads a pressure gauge to identify drops and/or rises in pressure from the water pump system.

Frequently lifts, transports, assembles/reassembles, carries, or otherwise moves and positions equipment weighing up to 75 lbs. when loading/unloading vehicles and setting up/knocking down job site.

Inventory trailers to ensure job-ready status after each job.

Perform preventive maintenance on all service equipment.

Direct the setup of all support equipment as needed (i.e., generator and compressor).

Performs all walk-downs to determine cleaning methods in plants & refineries.

Skills

Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks and/or priorities and easily adapt to changing situations; Ability to work with vendors, customers and employees.

Strong mechanical experience (3-5 years previous experience preferred).

Exercises sound judgment to ensure safety & operational aspects of the job are properly implemented.

Sound knowledge of motors/pumps and high-tech equipment

This position requires a highly organized individual who is self-motivated with the ability to motivate others.

Qualifications

Experience & Education

High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate);

Valid Driver's License with a good driving record;

Must be authorized to work within the United States;

Equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities

Physical Requirements

Labor intense; crouching, kneeling, crawling, climbing, balancing, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, twisting, squatting, driving, sitting or standing (particularly for long periods of time) with frequent lifting/moving of materials up to 75 lbs.;

Ability to work in confined spaces, work high off the ground, ability to climb scaffolding;

Primarily perform work in refineries, nuclear, chemical & fossil fuel plants under extremely hot, cold, wet and/or noisy areas;

The ability to travel for long periods of time (via airplane or by vehicle);

Physically submit to periodic drug, background and clearance screenings (employment is contingent upon favorable results)
