MagTech is currently hiring for a Hydraulic Technician near Savage, MN. Please apply below if you are interested and meet the qualifications below Responsibilities:

Service and repair various pumps, motors, and power units including testing, trouble-shooting, repair and assembly. Hydraulic Technician Pay: $22-35 starting pay based on experience and industry background Hours: 7am-330pm - Overtime as needed, average of 50 hours a week. Job Description:

Identify component to be repaired by manufacture and part number. Ensure model number is correct on component. Inspect parts and various components.

Determine if parts are re-workable. List all parts needed for repair that need to be ordered for component in Trend. Identify the reason for failure and record findings in Trend using the notes field.

Pull necessary parts that are needed for repair and verify that new parts are the same as the old parts and will interchange, clean all dirt from component, clean all gasket surfaces and o-ring surfaces and prepare component for assembly. Assemble units according to manufacturer specifications. Test repaired unit using manufacturer test specifications.

If at any time component does not meet the specification consult your shop foremen. Make necessary adjustments to repaired unit. For example; neutral maximum pressure, maximum and minimum flow, maximum and minimum current and voltage settings according to the model number tag when provided.

If not provided by model codes, consult your shop foreman. Maintain a clean shop by sweeping, mopping, organizing and other general duties necessary to keep shop clean. Maintain a safe shop environment by maintaining an organized work station and inspecting the following equipment before use; fork lift, grinders, overhead hoist, test stand, test stand hose and fittings and wire wheels.

Employee should report any safety concerns to the shop foreman. Participate in continuous improvement through training and associate development. Be a team player and positive example for new technicians and guide them through repairs and training.

Additional responsibilities may include shipping and receiving, stocking goods, pulling parts and inventory control. Associate may also be required to operate a forklift. Job Requirements: Able to use a variety of hand tools required for repair Able to tear down open loop and closed loop pumps Able to understand basic hydraulic diagrams/schematics Ability to understanding the basics on the three most popular pumps and their components Possess a common understanding of cylinders and their operations Ability to safely operate the warehouse equipment (hoist, forklift, Hilo) Working with high pressure equipment and high flow systems
