We are ready to hire an experienced HVAC Technician (Oklahoma City, OK)!!!

Hourly rate: $18.00 - $24.00, depending on experience.

Selected candidates MUST be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check. Only LOCAL candidates will be considered, as no relocation assistance is budgeted for this position.

Job Summary:
Responsible for the installation, maintenance, preventative maintenance, calibrations, overhaul, service and repair for all levels of refrigeration air conditioning systems, chillers, and humidifiers in the Boeing facility. Experience with TRANE products a definite plus.

Demonstrates Competency in the Following Areas: Ability to troubleshoot and repair small to large capacity air handlers, package units, ice machines and humidifiers in an industrial setting. Applicant must have 5+ years of experience in this field and a valid Journeyman and/or Contractor license. Ability to read, and adjust building automation systems for RTU's, VAV's, CRAC Units, a plus.

  • Reads blueprints, interprets manufacturers' specifications, written and verbal instructions for the maintenance and repair of refrigeration and air conditioning systems.

  • Performs urgent corrective, routine and requisitioned repairs for refrigeration and air conditioning systems.

  • Performs preventive maintenance on air conditioning, refrigeration and ventilation systems to maintain air at a specified temperature and humidity.

  • Adjusts air intakes, exhausts, dampers, thermostats and other controls.

  • Inspects and adjusts air conditioning and refrigeration systems after installation.

  • Responsible for inspecting, calibrating, adjusting, lubricating and repairing or replacing components as necessary.

  • Maintains routine records of all inspections, maintenance and repairs performed.

  • Experience with Tracer Summit system a plus.

  • Maintains records to ensure compliance with local, state, federal and Boeing regulations and standards.

  • Maintains equipment inventory, submits requisitions and communicates with vendors and contractors as required.

  • Possesses thorough knowledge of how to use and maintain plant tools and equipment.

  • Knowledgeable of and observes all safety precautions.

  • Performs additional duties as required.

  • Reports to work on time and as scheduled, completes work within designated time.

  • Wears identification while on duty, uses computerized punch time system correctly.

  • Completes In-Service Meetings and returns to work in a timely fashion.

  • Attends annual review as scheduled.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Performs a variety of work in the maintenance and repair of buildings at various facilities specializing in HVAC maintenance, but also including carpentry, basic electrical, plumbing, framing and drywall while abiding by all safety guidelines; repairs and treats structures such as floors, sinks, walls, roofs, and carpets; performs minor trouble shooting and repairs; maintains clean, safe, and orderly work sites. EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED: Identify and troubleshoot commercial type air conditioning and heating unites including, the adjustment, repair and/or replacement of compressors, fans, heat exchangers, VFD exhaust fans, natural gas components, sheet metal/flex duct work, filter changes, EMS controls, safety devices, etc. Perform general commercial maintenance with associate scheduled and unscheduled preventive maintenance tasks on equipment such as RTUs, chillers, air handlers, rack heaters, and exhaust fans. Perform rough and finished carpentry work in construction and repair of structures; performs basic electrical installation and repair work in wiring for switches, outlets, and plugs; repairs lighting systems; identifies and performs basic repairs of plumbing leaks or breaks; opens clogged lines and drains; maintains and monitors septic system; applies and prepares various surfaces for paint. Performs general maintenance and repair to cabinet doors and drawers, interior and exterior doors. Serve as leader of a maintenance crew; drive to numerous locations throughout each workday; oversee and provide direction to both Tier I and Tier II maintenance personnel; Perform any of duties as assigned by management. EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS: Ability to lift heavy equipment of 50 lbs; ability to communicate effectively with team members; Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid Driver's license with no more than 2 traffic violations or 1 chargeable accident within the past three years; 3 years' experience in all areas of maintenance; State of Oklahoma Commercial Journeyman Mechanical License; knowledge of employment, merchandise handling, and safety procedures. PHYSICAL AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Effectively use a variety of hand and power tools; follow oral and written instructions; communicate effectively in both oral and written form; maintain work logs; establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work assignments.
