High school diploma and 5 years commercial maintenance and repair services relating to all mechanical and HVAC systems. Must be EPA universal refrigerant certified or obtain certification within 6 months of hiring date. Valid South Carolina driver's license required.

High school diploma and 5 years commercial maintenance and repair services relating to all mechanical and HVAC systems. Must be EPA universal refrigerant certified or obtain certification within 6 months of hiring date. Valid South Carolina driver's license required.

Preferred Qualifications Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Strong knowledge of the application and use of testing equipment utilized in checking, testing, and analyzing mechanical systems such as volt, ohm and amp meters, phase and rotation testers, vibration analysis equipment, mega-ohm meters, multi-meters, static pressure meter, etc. Knowledge and experience in the fabrication and installation of materials and equipment required by HVAC and its control systems and the knowledge or national and local codes requirements.

Under limited supervision, maintains and follows a safe, productive, cost effective, and comprehensive planned and corrective maintenance program for constant reliable operations relating to all facility HVAC mechanical needs with in assigned buildings by receiving work orders; communicating with the Call Center and the supervisor. Plans, inspects, verifies, communicates, and problem solves needs for assigned facility HVAC . Ensures that all facility HVAC mechanical related needs are performed per specifications and common practices while exhibiting professionalism in conduct, appearance, and work practices.

Under general supervision, maintains and follows a safe productive, cost effective, and comprehensive planned and corrective maintenance program for constant reliable operations relating to other facility systems including but not limited to electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and painting with in assigned buildings by receiving work orders; communicating with the Call Center and the supervisor; planning, inspecting, verifying, communicating, and problem solving; and ensuring that assigned systems are in safe working order and compliant with national and local codes and regulations while exhibiting professionalism in conduct, appearance and work practices.

Assists the department with ensuring that any planned or corrective maintenance work is planned and scheduled with customers in advance when possible. Assists with estimating the time and cost of service work to be performed.

Takes personal initiative to identify and correct any problems and to develop strong customer service practices including customer communication and involvement, notifications, and process reviews. Works to ensure that assigned facility systems and customer needs are met whenever possible and only referring higher level, problematic situations to the supervisor or assistant director.

On a daily basis, maintains and completes accurate daily time sheets and records on all scheduled and emergency repairs performed on all electrical related systems.

Assists with the Facility Services inventory control by requesting, receiving and monitoring maintenance supplies, materials, and tools from Consolidated Supplies and outside vendors following established procurement policies and procedures
