Job Description

Responsibilities Include

  • Maintaining commercial cooling systems on cell tower cooling units diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, or installing and replacing components of entire systems.

  • Performing additional maintenance or upgrades on out of season equipment.

  • Conducting performance checks and regular maintenance.

  • Responding to service calls in a timely manner

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Two years experience with HVAC maintenance.

  • Compliance with FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA Regulations.

  • Basic knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components including refrigeration systems.

  • Able to operate a computer or tablet.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and by email.

  • Must have valid drivers license with acceptable driving record and be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.

  • Preference is given to those candidates able to be on call and travel for work.

VIEW JOBS 5/8/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-08-06T00:00 HVAC TECHNICIAN Description: Position Summary Under direct supervision of the Facilities Supervisor, the HVAC Technician performs the overall repairs of the Casino and related facilities heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment, in accordance with management directives. Supervision Exercised Supervised by the Facilities Supervisor, Facilities Manager, and/or Hard Maintenance Lead. The HVAC Technician has no supervisory authority. Major Duties and Responsibilities Under direct supervision, installs new HVAC equipment, performs routine repairs and maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems including any air distribution machinery, pneumatic and digital control, hot and chilled water distribution, and variable air volume systems. Complies with Pueblo, Resort & Casino, and Facilities Department standard operating procedures. Under an emergency evacuation and fire, evacuates the building or voluntarily assists the Security Department in emergency evacuation procedures. Utilizes high lift for maintenance tasks when required. Reports equipment repair requirements to supervisor. Performs preventative maintenance, adjustments, and basic repairs on HVAC systems. Performs seasonal overhauls and transitions of systems to and from heating/cooling. Coordinates major component replacement and evaluation of complex system problems. Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes workplace safety. Responsible for maintaining an adequate inventory of heating, ventilation and air condition small repair inventory. Repairs, installs, replace and tests electrical circuits, equipment and appliances using appropriate tools and testing equipment. Troubleshoots and repairs electric controls, motor control panels and programmable logic controls. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Responsibility for maintaining an adequate inventory of electrical repair supplies. Secondary Duties and Responsibilities Works in a composite crew and is required to assist Hard Maintenance, Electrical, Plumbing, Kitchen Repair technicians and/or other trades in accomplishing their duties on a routine basis. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to work with others. Ability to operate manual and power tools used in the performance of HVAC maintenance work. Ability to prepare maintenance reports. Knowledge of general safety rules, requirements, procedures and reporting requirements necessary to maintain compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Ability to communicate effectively and maintain good public and employee relations. Ability to perform preventative maintenance according to published guidelines. Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade. Working knowledge of electrical. Knowledge of HVAC installations, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance. Ability to work with high lift. Requirements: Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience Required: High School Diploma, GED certification or equivalent. Four (4) years of HVAC or Refrigeration experience. Any combination of trade school and/or experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified totaling four (4) years may substitute for the required experience. The following certification is required prior to employment start date: Universal Refrigerant Certification JR: Journeyman refrigeration Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted New Mexico Driver’s License. Preferred: Certifications prior to employment start date: JSM: Journeyman sheet metal JP: Journeyman plumber BO1/BO2: boiler operation (low or high pressure) JG: Journeyman gas fitters Licensing Status Must be able to successfully pass a stringent background investigation. Will require a post-offer, pre-employment and random drug screening. Working Conditions Duties are performed indoors and outdoors as required. Outdoor duties are subject to temperature extremes and inclement weather. Work apparel including standard work uniform issued by employer, may require employee to wear other apparel at his own expense to compensate for temperature conditions. Subject to potential hazards such as cleaning solvents and cleaning compounds. Subject to potential hazards such as heights, motorized equipment, power tools and loud noise. Personal protection equipment will be required depending on task. Additional potential hazards include exposure to infections, diseases, fumes, odors, dust, mist, and gases. Duties may involve walking, climbing, crawling, standing for long periods of time, sitting, crouching, kneeling, running, and the ability to assume a prone position. Work hours and/or work schedules are subject to change on short notice based solely on business needs. At times overtime work is required as approved by management.
