Location: Princeton, NJ

Pay: $34.52/Hr.

This is a contract to hire position.

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to oversee the daily operations of HVAC, utilities, and site systems at our facility. This position requires strong technical expertise in HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting, as well as proficiency in other areas such as pipe fitting, plumbing, and electrical work. The ideal candidate will have a high mechanical and electrical aptitude, be able to work independently, and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC systems, including air handling equipment, air filters, refrigeration systems, process chillers, and DX systems.

• Monitor and adjust the operation of heat exchangers, cooling towers, VAV systems, electric emergency backup systems, and hot water systems.

• Regularly inspect and maintain refrigeration, chilled water, and air conditioning equipment.

• Troubleshoot and repair boilers, pumps, valves, piping, and filters.

• Install and repair plumbing, piping, tubing, and electrical controls.

• Conduct routine facility repairs, including sheetrock, patching, caulking, painting, lock repair, and piping.

• Comply with safety protocols and regulations for handling hazardous materials.

• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

• Collaborate with other mechanics and operators on major repairs and equipment maintenance.

• Estimate costs and order materials as required.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Trade license, apprenticeship, or vocational certification preferred.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in facility maintenance, with a focus on HVAC systems.

• Universal certification in refrigeration required.

• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, with the ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex systems.

• Proficiency in performing tasks with minimal supervision.

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

• Fluent in English, with strong communication skills (both oral and written).

• Proficient in using computer-based systems and programs, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.

• Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy loads (up to 50 lbs), working at heights, and operating required equipment.

• Willingness to work in various weather conditions and on-call shifts.

• Hold a valid Black Seal Boiler Operator License.

Estimated compensation for this position is:

71,800.00 - 71,800.00 USD per year

The pay range listed is a total compensation range including bonus, if applicable. The provided range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data.
