Position Information Position Title HVAC Technician III Requisition Number S01851P Position Category Staff Campus Location Weber State University - Ogden, UT Hours per week 40 Months per year 12 Alternate work schedule Pay Grade N26 Salary FLSA Non-Exempt Job Summary/Basic Function NOTE: Position can be filled at the HVAC Technician III level or higher, depending on candidate qualifications. Position performs maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on the campus HVACR systems.

Required Qualifications Required: High School diploma or equivalent A valid Utah Driver License is a condition of employment Must complete WSU Driver Safety Training annually Must have 6 years full time HVAC experience must be able to pump down and charge a refrigeration system including replacement of a refrigerant compressor.

OR 3 years full time work experience NATE certification must be able to pump down and charge a refrigeration system including replacement of a refrigerant compressor.

OR 3 years full time HVAC experience EPA 608 Universal Certification must be able to pump down and charge a refrigeration system including replacement of a refrigerant compressor. Preferred Qualifications Preferred: Ability to read blueprints, control schematics, and wiring diagrams.

Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose PLCs (programmable logic controllers). Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally. Ability to use and understand test equipment commonly used within the HVACR trade. Basic computing skills (e.g. word processing, e-mail, time cards, work requests).
