Job Title: HVAC Technician III Wage/Hour Status: Non-Exempt
Reports to: HVAC Department Head Pay Grade: DO 7 261 Days

Primary Purpose:
To maintain all HVAC equipment and controls in all District school buildings, keeping them in proper operating condition.

Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of hand tools and equipment, knowledge of the refrigeration controls, knowledge of basic electricity.
Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions
Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel
Ability to meet deadlines and alter work priorities

Demonstrate acceptable work habits including regular attendance, teamwork, initiative, dependability and promptness.
Report to work on time each day.
Overhaul and replace semi-hermetic and hermetic compressors.
Repair, calibrate, and replace electric and sold state thermostats.
Repair and replace pumps, seals, and bearings.
Conduct preventative maintenance on all equipment, belts, bearing, fibers, condenser and evaporation coils.
Repair refrigeration leaks.
Perform any other duties and/or tasks that may be assigned on an as needed basis.

Ability to detect issues and perform troubleshooting needs by using vision, hearing, touch and smell.

Frequent district-wide driving
