Gottstein Corporation is looking for a talented and committed HVAC Technician to join our amazing team..

The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities:

1.      Installation: Installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioning units, heat pumps, boilers, and ductwork.

2.      Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and repairing HVAC system malfunctions, including electrical, mechanical, and control system issues.

3.      Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting HVAC systems to ensure efficient operation and prevent breakdowns.

4.      System Testing: Testing HVAC systems to ensure they are functioning properly and meeting performance standards.

5.      Customer Service: Interacting with customers to answer questions, explain system issues, and provide recommendations for repairs or upgrades.

6.      Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of work performed, including service reports, parts used, and time spent on each job.

7.      Compliance: Ensuring that all work complies with relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards.

8.      Training: Staying current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices through ongoing training and professional development.

Requirements

Job Qualifications:

1.      Technical Skills: Proficiency in HVAC system installation, maintenance, and repair techniques. Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and control systems.

2.      Certification: Certification from an accredited HVAC program or relevant trade certification is often required. This may include EPA 608 certification for handling refrigerants.

3.      Experience: Previous experience working as an HVAC technician or in a related field is typically preferred.

4.      Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in cramped spaces, crawlspaces, and outdoor environments in varying weather conditions.

5.      Problem-Solving Skills: Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to identify and resolve HVAC system issues efficiently.

6.      Customer Service Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and explaining technical information in a clear and understandable manner.

7.      Attention to Detail: Ability to follow detailed instructions, interpret technical manuals, and accurately document work performed.

8.      Safety Consciousness: Commitment to following safety protocols and ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.

9.      Driver's License: A valid driver's license is required for traveling to job sites.

10.  Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed to meet customer demands and deadlines.
