As a GMP system owner, the HVAC Technician is responsible for maintaining a compliant state, troubleshoot, inspect, repair and document work on core facilities equipment or systems that support the manufacture and packaging of pharmaceutical products.

These responsibilities also includes some of the following
Assist in the installation, troubleshooting and repairing of the following:
Electrical and PLC controls and components
Heating, air conditioning and plumbing components and systems
System operations used in manufacturing and laboratory environments
Maintain equipment in compliance state by ensuring that documentation and audit trail is kept intact and required maintenance is performed. Responsible for equipment rounds and documentation of critical operating parameters.
Execute PM instructions based on maintenance schedules.
Disassemble of equipment to remove parts and make repairs. Examine parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear. Repair and replace broken and malfunctioning components.
Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs. Operate newly repaired and equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs. Documents the work, parts and materials used to comply with SOP's and Quality requirements.
Study blueprints and manufacturers' manuals to determine correct installation and operation of machinery.
Participate in the planning, installation and improvement of equipment. Responsible for writing and performing of technical procedures, change controls and keeping drawings and schematics up to date.
Support and meet departmental, plant and corporate HS&E goals. Work in a safe and efficient manner.
Perform other job related duties necessary to the effective operation of the Maintenance Department

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
Facility/Building Management IT System knowledge
Familiarity with good manufacturing practice plant operation, safety and regulatory requirements
Working knowledge of industrial controls systems
Aptitude for creating written procedures and maintenance plans
Experience with machinery condition monitoring, life assessment, and repair strategies
Knowledge of MS Office and SAP
Knowledge of root cause failure analysis methods
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Ability to problem solve and utilize learning and critical thinking
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
