This position leads design and delivery of technical training programs. Determines training objectives by conducting analysis of overall needs and specific skill or knowledge gaps. Manages the development of training programs and materials including outlines, text, handouts, hands on exercises and training evaluations. Establishes processes to monitor results of training participants and collect feedback on training instructors to determine effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
Responsible for providing HVAC technical training to new and current employees
Responsible for ensuring effective use teaching techniques, instructional materials and appropriate media to conduct and support classroom training, course work and laboratory assignments
Ensure that appropriate safety practices are used at all times and that technicians are knowledgeable of the companies safety policies
Maintain control of inventories of equipment and supplies available in the training rooms
Support and follow HomeServe policies and procedures
May assist with or conduct training classes, where needed.
Responsible for recruiting/interviewing seasonal employees
Excellent communication skills - listening, speaking, and written
Proficient with use of smart phones, Microsoft Word, Outlook, PPT and Excel
Minimum of 5 years HVAC field service experience
Industry certifications preferred: NATE, ARI/GAMA ICE, RSES CM, etc.
Ability to travel overnight to all HomeServe offices as needed
