Title: HVAC Service Technician
Location: Independence, MO
Salary: $32.57-$33.68 per hour
Schedule: 4-10s Tuesday-Friday (6:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
Focus: The HVAC Service Technician is responsible for performing remedial repairs, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs to commercial heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment.
HVAC Service Technician Essential Job Functions:
Recovering refrigeration systems
Performing preventive maintenance
Conditioning boxes
HVAC Service Technician Minimum Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must meet one of the following education and experience requirements:
HS Diploma/GED and 3 years recent and relevant commercial HVAC experience or
Certificate or diploma from an accredited trade school, vocational school, or military equivalent.
EPA Universal HVAC Certification required. Certifications specific to R500 and R401C preferred.
Knowledge of refrigeration low pressure systems required.
Must be able to service and troubleshoot commercial HVAC.
Ability and willingness to work Weekends, including overtime.
Must possess a valid state driver's license and be able to obtain a government driver's license.
Location-Specific Requirements:
This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
This position requires successful vetting for unescorted access in accordance with U.S. Army and Department of Defense access policies. The US Government does not allow non-US citizens on-site at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant. Therefore, to be considered in the hiring process, the candidate must be a US citizen.
