What you will do
Completes assigned maintenance and service duties, inspecting, diagnosing, servicing, repair and preventive maintenance of commercial and industrial HVAC equipment. Troubleshoots and resolves primarily HVAC mechanical problems, as well as some electrical and controls problems.
Responds to service & warranty calls. Inspect, diagnose, service and repair mechanical systems using a variety of tools and instruments. Perform specified preventative maintenance including belt adjustments, oiling, greasing and cleaning of equipment. Perform prescribed non-destructive tests; collect and deliver samples for analysis.
Location: Will primarily support long-term maintenance and service projects at Fort McNair and Fort Myer (military experience not required). Company vehicle, laptop, cell phone, and all necessary tools are provided
Shift: First Shift, 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday-Friday.
Union: Local 602 or 486 (employee's choice)
How you will do it
Must be skilled craftsmen in their trade, and have a minimum of five (5) years actual, practical working experience in the commercial and/or industrial HVAC mechanical equipment service industry. May be required to pass a satisfactory examination as to their special skill.
What we look for
1.5+ years of commercial and/or industrial HVAC mechanical troubleshooting and service experience.
2.Valid driver's license with boiler and steam operational & service knowledge.
3.Good verbal and written communication skills.
4.U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance and any other worksite specific badges. (This will involve a background/character, work experience, education, financial/credit and a criminal history records check).
1.Chiller maintenance experience
2.Mechanical Journeyman License
3.Current member of local union 486 or 602
